The restaurant was not busy at all. Our waitress was very inattentive. The restaurant was VERY dirty! Our food was served cold.... The table placements were caked in syrup. When we asked the waitress to remove it from the table the one she brought to replaceit was also caked in syrup. One would think if you are removing something from the table because of it being dirty that youwould make sure the "replacement" is clean... My first time at IHOP. This place is absolutely awful. My daughters and I went there tonight. They weren?t busy at all. Had only one waitress. She got... our drinks wrong, then our food was wrong as well. When I told her she messed up my daughters food she said ?oh? then walkedaway. She never refilled the drinks. I then let her know I was ready for the Togo order, a box and the check. She literallyacted like I gave her so much to do that she just stared at me and just said ?ok?. Never got my check or box had to get up goaround the corner and ask her myself. I asked if there was a manager on duty and nope there wasn?t. So I am calling tomorrow, Iwant a full refund on my food and that girl should not be a waitress if she can?t handle a table of 3. This is the most disgusting IHOP I've ever walked into. There was lots of empty tables, but we were told to have a seat and wait... to be seated. After about 10 minutes of being ignored, I walked out and told the manager that this place needs better help andmore cleaning. He got an attitude we me right away. I recommend eating indoors and not carry out. I have dined inside for my kids birthdays and the service was fantastic. Did my... first carry out order today and paid $12.xx for a gluten free waffle with strawberries. Inside previous times I would get amountain of strawberries and whip cream. Carry out today I got two strawberries and a tiny amount of ?strawberry sauce,? justbarely enough to coat 1/4 of my waffle. No butter given but extra syrup as requested. Staff was okay. Seats in the booth were dusted with salt or sugar. Ordered the bacon breakfast burrito and the classic all you... can eat pancake meal. Took a while to get the food. The burrito was 80% under cooked hash browns. Couldn't eat it. I orderedthe pancakes with bacon and received sausage. The scrambled eggs had been sitting under a lamp or in an open steam table for along time as they were dried out and tough. Apparently the amount of pancakes you can eat for the price of the all you can eatpancake meal is two. Our associate never returned to bring me any more of their small pancakes. I talked with the manager aboutour experience and she comped me $4.99 on the bill. We did manage to watch our waistlines here at the McHenry IHOP. So that wasa plus. Read more
Extra crispy hash browns. Or just drenched in oil. This was after they made them crispy after they messed them up. I feel bad... for the waitresses that work here. I would hate to work somewhere a cook doesn't know how to make crispy hasbrowns and have mytips affected. I can't bare to tip well when my order is messed up. Well the waitress didn't refill my drink once and I had nextto nothing when I started my meal just overall poor service. Service was slow and not very friendly. Especially for early Sunday morning (about 8:30am)
