Very fun place, good band, rained so inside instead of on beach. I had 2 rum punch, super weak for $12, empty stomach, nothing,... so while it tasted good, there was "0 punch", pun intended, I didn't care for their choice of beer- at least what I could seewas on tap, there was no list in menu and we were standing at bar trying to order. My friends ordered the fried fish sticks andpatty melt, neither ate more than a bite, glad I didn't order food! Like I said was time, just not sure if I could eat or drinkanything there. Read more
I went to Kief?s reef for the first time tonight for their fish fry. When My and husband I got their the place was packed. We... requested a table for 2. The hostess stated that she could seat us in 10 minutes but we would have a hour wait for our food. Wedecided that would be fine. After 10 minutes the hostess attempted to seat us at one of the high tables. I explained to thehostess that I could not sit at the high tables due to a nerve injury to my back that causes my legs to go numb she was so nice.She apologized (she had no reason to apologize) she immediately found us another table, Our waitress was awesome. Sheimmediately took our drink order and brought us out hot bread. I had the fish fry my husband had a burger. She immediatelybrought me a plate for the salad bar. It only took our food about 30 minutes to come out. The fish was perfect. Thecheeseburger was perfect. The hostess frequently checked on us. She offered me more fish but I was full. The customer servicewas above and beyond. The food was great. The hostess was wonderful. Usually, I get an eye roll or well this is the only tablewe have and I end up standing at a high table for my entire meal. That was not the case at this restaurant. I appreciate thehostess being so polite, accommodating, making me feel comfortable, which allowed me to enjoy my dinner. The bartender wasattentive, the hostess, and the waitress was so wonderful. LOVE this place!! Great biker destination! I'm from upstate NY and I have a really hard time finding chicken wings I like in... Illinois. This place makes AMAZING chicken wings!! The Acapulco Gold sauce is to die for! During the warm seasons they have livemusic across the street on the river which is super cool. I highly recommend this place. Read more

Kief's is a local chain o lakes style boaters bar with a great throwback vibe. Once inside it's pretty clear this place really... has a lot going on! From the old school salad bar to the slot machines and what looks like a really good summertime outdoorpatio. It's has a buzz that's fun to be a part of. For as busy as it was, the wait staff was very friendly and outgoing, and Ifelt well attended too. I was most impressed with the homemade bread, something that I completely did not expect! The wings(garlic parmesan and buffalo) were also excellent, and I even enjoyed the salad bar! The beer battered Fried shrimp were goodbut needed a little "something" in the breading to give it more flavor, and the "potato pancakes" reminded me more of flat diskshaped tater tots, rather than the shredded potato latkes that I was expecting. On my second visit we tried the pizza, fish fryand a burger. The pizza is just okay, I wouldn't order it again, but both the fish fry and burger were excellent, with theburger being the best main menu item I've had here. Read more

My Shrimp Po Boy was delicious. My kids all had burgers and loved them. Our waitress was amazing. We'll definitely be back.... It's easy to get seated for lunch. I hear dinner can be a challenge with the large number of people who visit. Read more
Horrible service. If I could give negative stars i would. When we finally were seated the server looked at us and said oh you... already got your drinks. "Uhh yea we waited 30 min for a table". For a appetizer we ordered calamari. Well some shrimp dish cameto the table. Told the waitress and she took the shrimp and brought the calamari. We ordered three all you can eat fish fry andone boiled fish plate. Fried fish was good however they brought out some cold boiled fish. Way under cooked. Wasn't even cod.Told the waitress and she gave another all you can eat. Not ONCE did she offer a drink the whole time. We asked another waiterfor 2 boxes. Our waitress saw we were talking what was on our plate and she said we can take it home. They have to toss it out. I know it's all you can eat there but come on. I didn't order any to take home, she could have let me take my leftovers. Shegrabbed the to go trays and said we can't take anything. Finally bill came and she charged for the shrimp appetizer which costedmore than the calamari. We just payed, tipped, and left. Will never be going back there. Read more
