The food is allright. Egg rolls are good but the orange chicken i gad was nothing special, and the fried rice was mushy. The... Service was lacking. They were not that busy, and it took an akward amount of time to be seated and served. The atmosphere isnice though. Read more

Hong Kong chicken is amazingly delicious. The plum garden egg roll is massive and so crispy. Try the Sapporo beer with your... meal, it pairs well. Read more

For 15 years Plum Garden has been our favorite Chinese restaurant. We drive a lot further to get there these days but it's... always worth it. The food is fresh and delicious, beautifully prepared and so reasonably priced for the quality. The egg rollsare the best we've ever had with no close second. They've continued to make improvements to the interior, making it an elegantand inviting atmosphere. We've had lots of servers over the years and even talked to the owner a few times and have always had agreat experience. If you're able, you need to give it a try. It's sure to become one of your favorites too! And try the HongKong chicken. It's their most popular dish for a reason. Read more

We are new to the area and while out we stumbled upon Plum Garden. After a quick google search for the reviews, we decided to... stop in and give them a try for a quick afternoon snack. First, the lady at the front desk was very pleasant while the youngerwomen who sat us seemed to hate her job. When she sat us, I smiled and said "thank you" and in return she gave me a dirty lookdidn't say anything turned and walked away. After sitting and taking in the room, the decor and atmosphere reminds me of TheHouse on the Rock attraction in Wisconsin. Very gimmicky, dark, red and black with Christmas decorations still up. Btw, it'sJune and these decorations have been up for YEARS with the amount of cobwebs that are attached to them. Secondly, we orderedthe pot stickers - fried, and when them came out they were on a large cabbage leaf that had the pepper spots. Not the mostappealing when you are serving food. I had to check to see if they were bugs or mouse droppings. Maybe skip the "decoration"next time. If that wasn't enough, the pot stickers were made of egg roll wrappers rather than dumpling wrappers, and they wereliterally fried in oil...not pan fried. Third, the main dish we ordered was the honey crisp chicken with pan fried noodles. Thechicken was cold, the sauce was so disgustingly thick and sweet (not honey sweet), and the batter was reminiscent of funnelcake. The pan fried noodles were like ramen noodles that needed a few more minutes in the pot. After years of living blocksfrom Chinatown in Chicago, we know what real Chinese food is suppose to taste like. THIS is not it!! I'm not sure what the 5star reviews are, but we will not be back to try it out. Read more
