Very nice restaurant to visit if you are in the Deep Creek Maryland area. This is right up the road in McHenry. Rustic log Lodge... style architecture with wonderful ambiance. My wife and I had a wonderful dinner here this evening. Great food from a nicelyvaried menu with fantastic service. So if you're interested in a high quality meal in a quiet(go early for dinner), romanticrustic environment then this is the place. Thank you to Griffin, our server tonight. Wonderful hospitality. Ate here 3 times during my stay in Deep Creek, all very enjoyable. I've seen a few comments about their prices but there is a... broad selection on the menu, something for every diner & price range. You can get a high end Steak meal for $40 - $50 orappetizers & sandwiches for under $20. Good Beer/Drink selection, I was traveling alone so I ate in the Bar...good service,friendly. Me and my boyfriend went here for valentine’s day and it was wonderful! Beautifully decorated and the food was amazing. Our... server was named Jamie (I hope i’m spelling that right) She was personable, quick to get what you need and all the service waskind!! I had chicken breast with crab meat on top topped both with crab soup and a loaded baked potato. My boyfriend got a 6 ozsteak with broccoli and he also loved it. I will say the steak was a little undercooked than he would have preferred butthat’s all just dependent on the chef and location. We also as a starter got the crab dip which was easily a highlight! One of the good restaurants at deep creek lake. Their price is definitely higher than other restaurants in the area, but at... least you get to enjoy a decent meal, unlike at black bear tavern next door. The appetizer sriracha shrimp was pretty good, itwas lightly breaded and the shrimp wasn’t overcooked. The lamp chops entree I got were a little over cooked for me, I orderedmedium and it came out medium well. But at least they were still tender. But for $46, I expected the chef to cook it to mypreferred temperature. Read more
After a rough wait to try and get a drink at the bar we were seated quite quickly. Their server was Jessica who happened to be... the supervisor on duty that evening and she was helping out. Great customer service on her part she was very kind and Timely.Our food was amazing. Read more
My son and I stopped for lunch on our way through Deep Creek. The Rye whiskey ???? on the rocks was just what I needed and... Samuel Adams beer products. I had the Marylander Crab Cake sandwich and my son had a Steak ???? The service and food were great.This place is on the pricey side is the only downside but it was a nice relaxing lunch. Read more
