We had a wonderful lunch yesterday with some friends who had been here before. It was our first time and we had such a great... waitress. She was fun to talk to, knew tge menu and brought us refills on water when we would run out. Now I had Chicken Marsalaand it was fantastic. The flavor and food presentation on the plate were exceptional. I loved the herbs in the olive oil fordipping bread. I loved the cozy feel of the place. I use a walker and it was easy for me to get in and out of the restaurant. Nosteps to concern yourself with. The restaurant was very clean and I loved tge large floral display over by the bar. Great experience overall. Only didn\'t give it 5 because there was nothing special about it. Did a Thursday for dinner around... 6pm. We were seated right away and apps came quickly. Dinner was fine. They have kids options and brought a milk out for him atour request. We didn\'t have any issues with service. We had the kids spaghetti with meatballs, chicken picatta, and spaghetticarbonara. Wow! Fontina has quickly become our new favorite McKinney restaurant! I highly recommend the Sicilian Salmon with the perfect... combination of flavor bursts. My husband is in love with the very tender veal piccata. The service was excellent. We lived inEurope for a few years and this is as close to those flavorful dishes as you can get in Texas! I was so excited to try some Italian food in historic McKinney other than pizza. Fontina did not disappoint! The atmosphere is... great, with modern decor and spacious seating. We stopped by on Friday night and there was a live guitarist which really set thetone for a great meal. Most importantly, the food was great. We started with perfectly made mixed drinks and the freshestbruschetta! We both had pasta dinners that were excellent. I highly recommend dining at Fontina!! Read more
