Absolutely love coming here. So glad it re opened. Parking is biggest struggle but the food makes it worth it. Food is so good... that we even will order catering to our dealership. Personally I love there brisket and green beans. The green beans remind meof my grandmas cooking. What ever you do make sure you buy a Texas twinky. I don?t want to ruin the surprise but it?s worthevery penny. I typically take it home with me and if I?m not careful my wife will steal it. Read more
The most amazing BBQ I've ever had in my life. The smell as you walk in was breath taking, the view, scenery, everything about... it was just amazing. The food oooh my, we got brisket, sausage, chicken, ribs, mac and cheese, coleslaw, green beans and a fewother bits and bobs. The meat was the best meat I've ever been in my life and I literally had tears in my eyes at how soft andsucculent the meat was and how absolutely, amazingly delicious it was it. This is the best smoked Beef Brisket within 40 miles. I first had lunch at Hutchins 20 years ago, this is my first time back.... It's better than I remembered. The Brisket is fork tender. This place has plenty of indoor seating with a cool old timeatmosphere, and a lot of really interesting old photos on the walls. The original BBQ sauce is very good, the Tangy sauce has abite to it. I ordered three slices of Brisket, and it was exactly 1 pound. The pinto beans and green beans were good too! I wason my motorcycle so I had to eat it all! I couldn't take a "to-go? box with me. Meat prices have gone up everywhere and if course here is not the exception. Spent $90+ for 3 people. About $33 x lb. I wasn't... blown away, my brisket was somewhat dried, but others in my party say they love this place and that it's the best BBQ place inthe area. Free deserts - peach cobbler, soft serve ice cream, and the best banana pudding I've ever had. Went on a Saturdayafternoon and not crowded at all, could be because of covid or the prices. Great barbecue, great service, and great value. We went there and there was already a line! However, they were very efficient... and moved very quickly. We had the family pack, some "Texas Twinkies", and extra meat- ribs and brisket. The staff was extremelyfriendly and very attentive. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The portions were large and the Texas Twinkieswere huge! The barbecue was extremely tasty and very moist, juicy, and tender. The sauces were delicious but the barbecue reallydidn't need the sauces! Enjoyed the juicy tender brisket, not enough of a variety for me with the sides but to each is their own. I asked for lean and... was very specific in requesting lean brisket only but I guess the server didn't want to put on the tray. However the veryattentive server that was passing by asked if I was enjoying my meal and by the look on my face as I tasted it was all shereally needed to see.
