The only reason I?m giving two stars is because the winery is actually nice and in a great spot. However, the staff is rude and... super dismissive. There was no sense of friendliness. Customer service is everything and this place has none. It?s honestlyreally disappointing. And to top it off the wine was not that good. My friends and I will not be back. Read more
First time there. Not impressed. They didn?t offer samples recommended this TERRIBLE Ros?e???? tasted like freaking salt& olive... juice charged us $40 LOL tried the Reserve $53 recommended again (we gave them 2 chances) NEVER offered a sample we purchasedBoth bottles of mediocre wine. Mediocre service. The only thing nice about this place was the outside patio. Won?t be back!TERRIBLE ???? In response to previous comment NO I wasn?t looking for ?free wine? as you can see we spent over $100 +tippedyour snooty staff! If they are going to recommend wines then YES they should offer a tasting of it before the customer buys.Customer service is definitely lacking the 2 ppl on staff were not friendly. Just realised I don't have any pictures inside Landon, because we go there to sit outside! :) What could be better than to... people watch when sipping wine on a nice weather day at beautiful Historic downtown McKinney all at the same time? Their patio is a winner!!!!! Great location, magnificent staff and amazing variety of choice wines.
As far as Texas wines go, there is Landon, and then everybody else. Whether you are looking for a summer wine like a sweet... yellow rose or a crisp Rosè of Grenache...or something to pair with your meal like the bold red "Texan" or a bourbon barrelaged red with a unique taste, Landon has got your fix. We were drawn to this place on the square in McKinney because it was bustling with people and had folks setting outside and... relaxing at tables having wine. It was nice inside and had a decently large selection of wines to choose from. After samplingsome different wines, we ordered and bottle of the Amarone with a cheese tray. Both the wine and food were good. Nicebathrooms too. Read more
My husband and I recently had our 15th Wedding Anniversary Celebration at Landon Winery in McKinney. The event was beyond... amazing. The Winery staff were more than accommodating and our guest LOVED Mrs. Rhonda. She made our event wonderful from theday we booked. We will be hosting another event at the Winery very soon!! Read more
