I booked a cheese & wine tasting for a date night with my husband & we absolutely had the best time! This is a family owned... winery & the hospitality shown during our event was top notch. Our host Bianca did such a fabulous job setting up a beautifultable for the tasting - I tried to take as many photos as I could before wanting to dig into the feast. All together there were5 pairings with generous pours and unique cheeses. She did an incredible job educating about the pairings without making theevening seem like a lecture but we still walked away feeling like we?ve learned something new. It?s a delicate balance and sheguided the group with such passion and care. I?ve been to quite a few tasting events & this one definitely is right to the topof my favorites. The atmosphere of the room was perfectly cozy - I didn?t feel like it was a stuff as many people in as you fitkind of place - gave more of the visiting friend?s you?ve known forever kind of vibe. The event flowed well, wasn?t rushed atall, the host was open to all questions and opinions on the pairings. This has been one of the best places I?ve ever experienced in my life. The atmosphere and the friendships that you make here... remind you of the TV program, Cheers. As for the wine, many are connoisseurs, but I just say this really tastes good or itdoesn?t. The wine I drink tastes good and the best part is the atmosphere and the friendships that you make. Disappointed that they mostly represent wines drom California. Not so much the lonestar state. stars because the venue was very... inviting. Easy cosy environment with great views. The wine was not the worst though would have wanted more body to it. Thebiggest boldest cavernet Sauv they had fell short and so did the service. The flight of wine was brought to us with noexplanation of the wine like a proper tasting should be. Next we saw the waiter was for the check. If you like hanging solouninterrupted with sweeter light bodied wines then this is the place for you. Read more
It was our first visit here and the greeting at the door was great. Ryder our server recommended a great red wine that it was... glass after glass after that. I have never visited downtown McKinney before visiting Lone Star Wine. The place is cozy and a part of a collection of... different shops. They have a pretty good selection of wines that includes Texas wines as well as California wines. Our serverwas awesome. We ordered the garlic parmesan and Aunt Karen's Bordelaise Wings. Both were delicious. We also got the margaritaflatbread and I thought that was good as well. Definitely a good place to visit if you are in the mood for wine. Read more

My wife and I came here for the first time. We started off with a flight of reds that were all Lonestar wines. Every one that... we tried tasted good. My wife is big fan of prisoner wine and was surprised to see that mark up was minimal. The lady workingthere, Mo, was super nice and even introduced us to some of the regulars. What an awesome place. A gem in McKinney! Great staff, super knowledgeable, welcoming, friendly and respectful. Adorable... place inside and outside on their patio. Wonderful! Reasonable wine prices and the food looked delicious, even though we didn?thave any, but definitely next time. This will be one of our new places to frequent during the week and weekends.
