Mcalister's is another sandwich shop that's been around for ages. They have refined the are of making a tasty, filling meal out... of a sandwich. Plenty of options, salads and soups and spuds. Dine in of to go, your choice. They're all good, my favorite isthe Harvest Chicken Salad sandwich and a cup of Fire Roasted Veggie soup, extra hot please. Tea is non stop. Enjoy. Read more

This place is one of the biggest jokes in McKinney. Its impossible to get orders when it?s busy AND if it?s slow inside, you... still wait forever for delivery orders. There are at least 10 people here right now and there is zero customer service (andmaybe 3 tables of people). One guy was willing to bring the order up but wanted someone else to seal it. Another lady guessesshe will fill the gallon. There was a manager doing something with a clip board not acknowledging anyone and they literally losta customer while I was waiting because nobody said a word to him. I don?t blame him. What an embarrassment!! Read more

Would first like to say, McAlister?s is the best! Today I got the pleasure of meeting a new team member that happens to be... autistic. He was kind, knowledgeable, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. I just couldn?t understand why someone wasn?tassisting him with the register if he is in training, and it?s the busiest weekend of the summer (tax free weekend). The managerwas very kind and understanding, as well as another team member that helped us out. I think he is a great addition to an alreadyawesome location!!! Read more

My family and I (3 of us) placed our lunch order and found a table. After almost 40 minutes, when our food had still not... arrived, I caught the attention of an employee (Gracie) and asked her to check on our order, fearing that we had been forgotten.Gracie returned a few minutes later to report that our order had been "dropped on the floor" and was "being remade." I asked whywere we not informed of this. Reply, "I didn't know about it either till just now. Would y'all like a free dessert?" No apologyfor the inconvenience and lack of communication. We declined the free desserts. If there is a long delay and/or problem with anorder, shouldn't an employee or manager on duty give the customer an update, inform them of the issue, and apologize for theinconvenience? That seems pretty basic to me. The McKinney McAlister's currently has a "now hiring" banner displayed. Theyclearly do need new employees. One hopes that the new staff members will be properly trained and/or have a fundamentalunderstanding of basic customer service. Read more

This location is absolutely awful. This is the second time ordering from them and they constantly forget several of our items.... They forgot three of our sides. We ordered the Pretzel Dogs for our toddler, as they looked so good online, but when we got themthey were dried, shriveled, super cold and the outside was burnt and they were not good at all. My croissant sandwich lookedlike someone had sat on it, the tomato was super soggy, the roast beef was gray and everything tasted awful. One time is amistake, but to forget so many items in our order twice is ridiculous. Does no one check it? Is no one paying attention? I willnot be returning. I also read that the "owner" seems to leave condescending responses to the negative reviews overlyapologizing for their mistakes, but it doesn't seem genuine. Instead of responding to comments and apologizing, try making surethe staff is trained to do there job better. Read more

Oh boy. Let me tell you, between McAlister's and Panera, you better bury me at McAlister's Deli. Food is delicious. Roast beef... with horse radish is awesome. Definitely this location exceeds expectations. It was very clean, warm, inviting, and all around agreat experience. Food is not like a fast food chain. It didn't bloat and was just enough to satisfy hunger. McAlister's arenormally great and this one carries that legacy. Read more

It was early evening (4:30ish) and my wife and I ordered the black Angus spuds. They were quite dry and needing lots of butter... which was of no help. I drenched mine in Tabasco (finished off the bottle) to make it moist, but eventually went to get somewater and ask for sour cream or something..... Then I see that they were supposed to put au jus on these!!! WTH? After adding aujus you could tell the color of the potato changed and it tasted much better. If only the rest of the potato I'd already eatenhad tasted like it should, I'd consider coming back.... I avoided this place since about the time they opened many years ago,and I will do that again.
