The atmosphere was delightful and fit for family gatherings (why I went) or date night. Expect to spend at least $20-30 per... person with selections of prime cuts of meat, premium salads, exquisite sides (seriously, haven't asparagus as appealing as thespears my cousin got) and delectable burgers. Since it was a family gathering, I was fortunate so see many plates andeveryone's food looked delicious. Great service, excellent food. My waitress was so sweet and i wish I remembered her name. Scallops and fried green tomatoes... were so good, and the butterscotch pudding with goat cheese dessert was super unique and good. Will definitely return with myhusband next time. Read more
Nice place to eat, friendly attentive service staff, and nice inside too with clean restrooms. I had the shrimp, nice amount of... spice and the grits were great too. I also had to try the truffle fries, they were crispy and very tasty. I also sampled one ofthe tacos, they too were delicious. Read more
Sugarbacon is a cool place to take your family when they come in the town, especially since going to downtown McKinney is such... an easy, fun, and touristy thing to do. Sugarbacon has a pretty good menu, and they do sear up a pretty great steak. However, Iwill say that eating here does come out a price. This restaurant is not one of the cheaper options when it comes to eating out.We have been here a couple of times, and the service can sometimes be hit or miss. The steak in the photos was great, however itwas not accompanied by a steak knife and I ended up having to wait over 20 minutes for a server to come by so that I can ask forone. I understand that they were busy that night, and that is fine and well, however it should be a trainable task to bring asteak knife out with a steak. At that point, the customer has everything that they need to eat it, but they can also cut into itand let you know if it is cooked appropriately. Overall the food is pretty good, and if you have not had the sugarbacon… youneed to try it at least once, especially if you are a fan of anything pork belly! Read more
Not too expensive and very filling! I got Bagel & Salmon with breakfast potatoes ($16); however, they were out of bagels, so I... got it with sourdough. The atmosphere and the service is good. Definitely recommend to try this place! Read more
Great atmosphere and food. Our dining experience was excellent, Mason is a phenomenal server as this was our first visit he... shared his top 3 dishes and cocktails. The sugar bacon appetizer was quite dry even with the sauce. The grits & shrimps wasdelicious and my husband really enjoyed the filet. Read more
The Brussel Sprouts are really good. The brunch was decent, burrito had good flavor and the service was great. A few of the... breakfast potatoes were a bit undercooked, and I prefer a crispy breakfast potato. My wife had the steak and eggs, the steak wascooked well and the eggs were done well.
