This is girl heaven! I grew up reading the American girl dolls and the was excited to share them with my daughter. We have been... reading the books for a couple years now and we even did an American girl party for her 5th birthday. He finally were able totravel to a city where they had an American girl store and we did all of the things. Started with the salon where our Americangirl doll got her nails painted ears, pierced and her hair done. Then spend some time shopping around the store and taking funpictures and looking at all the cool options that are available for American girl dolls of all generations. Then we have lunchin the bistro which is really fun experience which includes a special seat for your doll (But there are options if you don'thave it all yet) and then you get to have delicious kid style finger foods that are enjoyable for adults too. Definitely getthe pink lemonade and the standard three part meal. Overall, this was an awesome experience with an incredibly helpful staffthat really truly loves what they do and loves creating memorable experiences for the girls that come in. It was a special day planned for my a granddaughters birthday. We went shopping and spent $200 in the store which is easy to do.... Then we had a reserved for the Bistro and that is where things went wrong. Let me start by saying that our waitress was asweetheart, but she couldn?t help the fact that we waited 1 hour for our food!! How hard is it to mess up hamburgers, and a hotdog?? The burger was burned (well well done) and when leaving I noticed other diners burgers looked the same. We paid $25.00 perperson and we didn?t even get some of the items that were included with the meal. It was very disappointing. Especially with thekids asking when the fries were coming!! It was a beautiful store with lots of experiences. My daughter was looking for a particular doll that was on backorder. They... were able to have it shipped right to our house quicker than anticipated thanks to the salesperson. She was super helpful! Read more
My daughter 10th birthday was ruin. The party was scheduled for March 12, 2022 at 3:15 . We arrived at the store at 2pm early... with the girls . We took pictures and I bought 3 dolls. The store ran out of food . After two hours and multiple changes tofood order because they did not have it. After 2 hours of waiting we never got our food and was given a partially frozenbirthday cake with no ice cream . The cake icing came completely off the cake when cutting into it because it was still somewhat frozen. My sister had to light the cake because server didn?t have a lighter that work. The birthday girl very wasdisappointed. The worst experience ever for a party . I had to take a party of 8 to Fridays in the Mall to eat . Read more
This is an experience not a shopping trip. It is a world-class tourist destination in fact! The displays are incredible, the... staff is engaged, knowledgeable and helpful, and we have spent hours here without getting bored. Honestly I think we could spendall day. The bistro is incredible and they offer events. My daughter took a hair styling class, which was very reasonably pricedand small class sizes, plus she got adorable things to take home including a salon apron and stylist belt, a brush, and anadorable pretend acrylic balloon. Every once in awhile we also schedule Samantha to have her hair done- what they can do isphenomenal. It always looks like she has brand new hair - she was made in 1992! The salon prices are great. Samantha had herears pierced last year for only $6 and received 4 pairs of earrings on top! Read more
Beautiful Doll, Same Name as my Daughter I purchased this doll not only because it is the first Chinese-American Girl of the... Year, but also because she has the same name as my daughter! She was so excited to see a doll that looks like her at the storeand even shares the same name! Thank you American Girl for representing Asian-Americans especially in this current socialclimate. Positive representation and inclusion of Asian-Americans is so important. Our Chinese-American family appreciates thisvery much, and my Corinne loves her new beautiful doll! I went here with my niece in 2019. We had a blast, Even as an adult I enjoyed seeing all the dolls that I grew up with. And... reading the history. It's like a little museum. It's a bit expensive but good quality dolls. They even painted the dolls nails.And pierced their ears! We didn't stay for lunch. But I have eaten here in the past. The food is better than I thought it wouldbe. Like ikea quality but better. It's a nice roadtrip. Read more
Took my daughter to this for their birthday and had a wonderful! They didn't have dolls at first so they used the dinner dolls... they had! It was such a fun experience! Enjoyed lunch with them and I also had a mimosa which was good! Read more
