Great food, country feel, and good service.....homemade hotdog chili, pizza dough, and BBQ....all of which made on site.
This was a very welcome respite on our trip through the rural West Virgina countryside. I have not seen older style pumps in... many years but no problem. They take credit cards inside, and the station attendant was very pleasant to talk to. We had agreat chat about the world beyond and I wish him well in his quest for adventure and romance. Don\'t give up! You can doIt!\n\nThe station itself was relatively spartan but also cozy, a good place to stretch one\'s legs during a 15 hour drivethrough ice and rain. There are snacks and basic items and the gas was a good price. In back there are antiques andcuriosities for sale. I think there is also a restaurant or pizza place attached but I don\'t know the hours.\n\nOverall if youtraveling this way, do yourself a favor and gas up here. There is a rugged beauty to the place well worth the stop and itreminds one of a tough survivor from some other time...before the big highways bypassed so many places.
