Great small winery. Very local and family owned. Mostly reds made from local grapes. Supprisingly good for small winery! The... Teddy Bear Port is very interesting. Also have a very drinkable Syrah. Suprise!! This is also a craft distiller of fine spirits!Don't miss the Grappa made from local grapes. Smooth and reasonable price! They say more types of spirits will be comingsoon. 15 Dec 2018: update! Bear River has opened a new tasting room to Old Town Auburn in the Gold Country mall. Don't miss it.Location now very handy!! Tucked away down a windy scenic drive off the highway, We found Bear River Winery looking for a break from traffic. Mike poured... us a little bit of everything. Neither of us like Rose usually but we it was as delicious as the rest of them. We bought abottle to go! Though it was hard to chose from several award winning wines. Definitely take the detour if you're looking forsome good wine! Read more
