I?m a regular take out customer at the restaurant in Mebane, NC. Tonight I got home and found part of my order had not been... packed. Returned to the store (10 minutes each way). They filled the missing French fries and I got the obligatory ?sorry ?. First, a business that does as much take out as Smithfield?s should appreciate you only get one chance to make a take out orderright. It should be double checked, even in these times of staffing problems. They weren?t busy.. I?d have appreciated aheartfelt apology, perhaps with a ?how can we make this up to you?, but didn?t get one. I?ll return because the food is good,but my cold supper didn?t taste as good. While I?m on a roll, why did chicken tender plate go to nearly $16.00? Just saying. Read more
Smithfield's may not be my favorite NC BBQ joint, but I do have to say the food is good and the lady who brought our order to... the table gets an A+ for service and attitude. Kudos to her! We had the chicken finger platter and while just under $15, theportion was huge and included two sides plus hush puppies. The potato salad was good, but the Brunswick stew was fabulous! There are numerous locations along NC highways. Definitely a good choice if you need a food stop! Read more
What gave this five stars was the older black lady who made sure you had everything you needed. The chicken did not disappoint... but that potato salad was God awful and the baked beans tasted like van camp pork n beans. I may be a bit critical because I'm asouthern cook and expected more. But thanks to the older black lady I'll be back but just to get chicken lol ???? Read more

And I almost did not stop here, I'm glad that I did! Headed back home to Winston Salem from Raleigh (Day trip) I got the... combination platter: chicken pork with baked beans & brunswick stew. I also mixed the Smithfield vinegar sauce with the pork.Not over powering, just right! Enjoy chicken and BBQ? Enjoy genuine Carolina hospitality? This is your place.
