While on travel, I like or order pizza from a mom-and-pop pizzeria Generally, I take a chance with a pizzeria based on the... amount, frequency, and date of the negative reviews. I read the negative reviews to determine whether the issues are with thefood. I ignore reviews that emanate from disgruntled patrons seeking vengeance on a perceived slights; however, consistentcontemporary complaints will get my attention. Enough about my process of picking a pizzeria and on to the review... First offthe pizza was fantastic and I made the right choice in selecting Amore Pizza Arcona. If you're looking for mom-and-pop pizzeria,then this us the place for you. I would have given a 5-star review, but the toppings on the pizza were skimpy and not confinedto 1/2 as instructed. We had a beautiful dinner at Amore & I can?t recommend it enough. The pizza was delicious! Fresh toppings & generous amounts.... The house salad we got was huge & the perfect starter. The staff is so friendly & courteous, the outdoor seating is cozy & theatmosphere is 10/10. BYOB is awesome too because we were able to bring our own wine to pair perfectly with our pizzas(convenient too because it?s right across from Springate). Everything I have ever ordered has been fantastic. The pizza is delicious: the crust is not too thick with the right amount of... crunch, the sauce is delicious, not too sweet, and perfectly proportioned to the cheese and toppings. The strombolis are amazingand packed full of ingredients. The salad's are generous in size and always are full of fresh and tasty ingredients. I could tell right from the first whiff and the first look that I was in for a treat. Flavor is what a pizza is supposed to... taste like and the crust is light and airy. This will be my new favorite place. Of course I can always use more sauce and asweeter sauce but this place deserves every star. And I got a LG pepperoni pizza around 17$, best part is its not too greasy. Read more
Was excited to try this place since located in the trendy Arcona area. The restaurant was clean but somewhat stark, perhaps... because of the area located in. Not like a regular pizza place that usually has a more "homey" feel. The music was much tooloud as we were the only customers eating in. There was some reply of the 2019 non-PGA golf event on the TV. The service wasgood and the cashier was nice. As for the food, the Italian sub was very good. Fresh ingredients and though I am not a fan ofpizza dough rolls, had a good taste and was baked correctly. Five stars for the sub. Unfortunately the pizza would probablyonly get two stars. While the crust was brown, it was not crisp especially when you consider that it was a reheated slice. Thecheese was good but the sauce was somewhat overpowering (spices). I would try another sub but not the pizza. Some items aredecently priced, others somewhat pricey. $8.50 for an Italian sub is on the high side. Not sure how big the pepperoni rollsare, but for 6 in the order the price is $15. They also do not carry fountain sodas, another ding in the ratings. I know thatthere is a benefit to carrying canned sodas like not having to have an ice machine but our preference are fountain sodas. Theyjust taste better. Read more
Amore is great! The customer service is as great as the food! We've been here a few times since moving into the area, and... there's nobody else I would get pizza from. The prices are a touch high, but it's 100% worth it. When you order from here, youhave to get the garlic knots! Easily the best thing on the menu.
