We’ve been to the cafe many times and enjoyed it. Yesterday we were celebrating my mother’s 86 birthday. Unfortunately, the... appetizers and meals for the five of us were disappointing. The food was very overcooked. Several sent food back. The steak insandwiches was overcooked and so gristly I couldn’t eat it. We should have made a complaint but didn’t want to upset mother.However, when the server cleared the table with most of the food not eaten you would think she would have asked. Overpriced & probably better for lunch - salad/sandwiches. Bonefish grill would've been better and cheaper. Good atmosphere.... Some odd seating, at first they wanted to seat us in a hallway & everyone would be walking past our table. The hallway issmall, there isn't enough room for the small table & space for 2 people to pass each other in opposite directions. The poorpeople sitting there had to have been brushed up against every few minutes. Salad was good. 12oz ribeye steak, probably 5oz offat!!! This is the most I've ever been charged for such a cheap piece of meat. Then they partially cut it up?!? Either fully cutit in to slices or don't play with my food. I still don't know what they put on the steak.... carrot puree something?!? ... andchunky puree at that. Who wants to taste carrot & steak at the sametime? Side of broccoli? One big piece of undercooked broccoli& not enough to be considered a side... looked more like a garnish. Dessert was good. Read more

We ate inside in the dining room and there were flies and little nats flying all over our table and food. It was definitely a... big take away from the wonderful atmosphere it could have been. However the other few times I have ate here the experience hasbeen good. Read more
Tasty little stop. The fish and chips was a little doughy, maybe go a little lighter next time on the breading. The blackened... chicken Mac and cheese had great flavor and good taste overall. Clean restrooms, tidy restaurant. Read more
Nice quaint place. The mussels were very flavorful, and my steak was seasoned well and cooked perfectly.The risotto was not as... hot (temperature) as the rest of the scallops dish, but that was our only real issue. I’d recommend this place for either achill date night or an evening with friends. Oh, and it’s BYOB..but they have glasses and will pour as requested. Read more
This place is beyond expectations. From the Top Chef level delicious food to the best service in town. My friends and I enjoyed... the food so much, we felt the need to meet the star behind that kitchen door (scroll to the end to see his face). Super highlyrecommended. Read more
