My review: I stopped coming here for a few years because of several bad experiences? went back there because it was my grandmas... 90th birthday and a few people had said that the service had gotten better. There was a group of 18 of us? we all ordered steakhibachi, my husband even ordered double the steak. everything was good until we all started eating the steak which was likerubber. none of us could chew through it?. my jaw had started to hurt because of it. ALL of us left the steak? everything elsewas good, we all just thought we got a bad piece. After speaking politely with the waiter and the host- the host said he calledthe owner and the owner said nothing they can do besides give us a 10% discount. we were willing to pay for everything but thesteak, since it wasn?t edible. the host was understanding and apologetic and after a few other people complained- he keptcalling the owner asking if we could all get gift cards. I believe at one point the words ?if we have to pay for the steak, theyhave to pay for the steak? were spoken and at one point I even heard the host ask the owner to stop yelling at him?. so theygave us a 10% discount but added 20% gratuity. which I understand. we were a big group. but it was an absolutely awfulexperience. definitely not how we wanted to remember the big event. I tried to give this place another chance- but they justaren?t good business. any other place would have either taken the steak off the bill or offered a gift card. it was handledextremely unprofessionally. This review is only for the Mechanicsburg location. Don?t waste your time, money, or your appetite. #1) I ordered egg rolls to... share as an appetizer. I ended up with most of them. No one wanted them. They weren?t good. I don?t even know how to describethem. #2) Our chef was not entertaining at all ! All he did was simply cook in front of us. There was no interaction, no ?show?.Highly disappointed. #3) We had 4 people. We all ordered hibachi meals, 2 appetizers, 3 sodas = $140! ???? Came in for lunch and was very much surprised. I've been hitting up the local sushi joints around my home in the camp hill,... Mechanicsburg, Lemoyne area as I often frequent Miyako. New favorite spot. Drinks in cups not cans. Miso soup with a healthyamount of tofu and seaweed. And the sushi. I ordered the yam, gator, candy and crab and shrimp spicy roll. The gator and candyare top notch. Yam was delicious and to my surprise the crab and shrimp was my least favorite. Super glad I stopped by. You willbe too. Read more
