Second time here. Will be returning. Affordable and friendly atmosphere. Love that pasta salad. Steaks are well cooked, and... their daily specials are a great bargain. I recommend J&R. Go try it! Read more

Went early on a Friday evening so it wasn't too crowded yet and they had their Oktoberfest menu...Had a Pumpkin Ale and the Pork... Schnitzel.. Everything was delish... Just wish it was served with the traditional potato pancake instead of hash browns. . Woulddefinitely have it again though! Read more

Grisly, fatty, poorly cooked porterhouse. Ordered rare, the strip side was nearly medium and the tenderloin side was pretty much... raw. How does a steakhouse not know how to cook a steak properly?? Seriously, "you had one job!" I'm not sure how they expectus to eat such a poor cut of meat with such flimsy plastic cutlery either (ordered for takeout). Skip this place, and get yoursteak somewhere else. Honestly, even Outback or Texas Road House do a better job. Read more

Dinner was awesome!!! I haven't been to a steak house in a long time that even comes close to nailing it, J & R's did!!! I was... part of a group of 24 and meals were served in a timely manner, as well as many steaks being cooked perfect as requested.Appetizers were excellent as well as meals. Price was more than reasonable. Highly recommend!!! Read more

I went because I was in the mood for steak. I was impressed with their price fix menu options, and their specials for the day.... Definitely a good bang for your buck. They did have a happy hour. I ordered the ribeye price fix, and was very happy witheverything (app/sides/dessert) except my steak. I was disappointed, it being a steak house, at the incredibly fatty and grislypiece I'd been served. My family's enjoyed their meals, and their cuts looked more appetizing. Needless to say, I ate less thanhalf of mine. Would I be back? I may be more inclined to try a few other "steak" restaurants first. Read more

Very good local steak house chain. Great for steaks and surf n turf, beers, pretzels, etc. My family goes for the steaks. I like... the seafood broil special - stuffed flounder, stuffed clams, lobster tail, soup (seafood bisque) and side of slaw. We have beenvisiting this place for years/every time we visit our Long Island family. Read more

I must say of all the J&R locations I?ve been to in all my years going, this place takes the cake.. apps are great, their garlic... bread and amazing and have a nice crunch, mussel appetizer is actually pretty good w the sauce, the wings are crispy fresh, andthe steaks.. I got the marinated 16oz ribeye Med rare and a porterhouse medium and they?re cooked just right.. juicy, not chewy, and you can break it down and swallow, w just enough fat.. that?s when you know it?s good.. and for the price.. can?t beat it..and the best part.. the service was on top and very good! Surprised on a Saturday night where I wasn?t expecting muchhonestly.. only thing is the soups are a little salty.. got a beef orzo and seafood bisque.. anyone from the restaurant readingthis.. take a note but overall it?s a very good experience especially taking very picky in-law eaters.. good job J&R Medford!
