My husband and I got married at Blue Heron this past June, and we absolutely loved it! We were a postponed COVID wedding, and... initially booked with Khadar prior to his leaving. He was incredibly accommodating and willing to work with us through thesecrazy pandemic times. When Britney and Bethany took over we were notified promptly and the transition was seamless to us! Theywere very easy to get in touch with throughout the entire process and worked so hard to make our day perfect. They also had alot of great suggestions for our timeline and how to best decorate the venue! Speaking of the venue, I was truly taken aback byhow beautiful it is! We took photos by in several areas around the pond, and the fountain made the perfect backdrop for ourfirst kiss! The reception hall was large, elegant, and had more than enough space to accommodate all of our guests. Everyone weinteracted with at Blue Heron were kind and professional as well. From the waitstaff that kept us full to the bartenders whokept the drinks flowing: your hard work did not go unnoticed! We were also taken aback by how amazing the food was and ourguests still cannot stop raving about it to this day! I truly cannot say enough good things about Blue Heron. I love Blue Heron! There are many kinds of beer here for all different types of tastes! The food is always good! I particularly... like the salads they serve! The staff is always friendly and efficient! Laura is the manager and is always very sweet! The patiois fantastic and in the winter they have igloos! Relaxing type of place! Read more
So happy the crab legs are back!!! The hush puppies were delicious!!! Nothing better than hot butter on the many many clusters... of perfectly cooked crab legs!! The salad was the perfect size for the amount of crab legs I devoured. Oh, and did I mentionthe amazing beer, prickly pear, that complimented the meal. We called ahead to make reservations on a late Saturday afternoon/early dinner (5pm) as we were a party of 7. When we arrived... they didn't have our reservation. Luckily they weren't too busy, so they were able to sit us inside, however our reservationwe requested outdoor seating. There was live music playing outside, however it was very loud indoors and made it hard to have aconversation with our group. The music was good (80s music) but just too loud to make our meal enjoyable. The beer was good andthe food not too bad. We ordered the jumbo Buffalo wings and Montville Mountain fries to share. Both were enjoyed by ourparty. Most of us (5 out of 7) ordered hambugers. The meal was good but the hamburger buns were small and soggy, which let themeal down. One half of my burger patty was over cooked while the other half was good. I ordered the veggies for my side, whichwere very tasty broccoli. Our server was Eric ( or at least I think that was his name as it was hard to hear him) was good butnot great. All in all I would like to go back and give them another try at same stage. Our wedding and reception were absolutely perfect at the Blue Heron! The location is beautiful and the event staff were... magnificent through the whole process. The on-site catered food was to die for. We are so happy we chose this space and thisbusiness to support for our day. Cannot recommend them enough! Read more

1st time here…ordered the Montville Mountain shareable and BBQ wings. Delicious! The mountain was so good, pulled pork on a... mountain of fries topped with guacamole. Too much food to finish! Highly recommend! Read more
