Dude! AWESOME and very eclectic menu. The food was FANTASTIC and the service was even better. Probably, and I know this might... sound weird, but, the non sweet ice tea was probably the best I’ve ever had outside of home. Big bang for your buck! Food was delicious! Huge portions, tasty food, attentive service...... what else could you want? When we... went there was a 20 min wait at any table with or without griddle. We asked for first available and were seated in less than 15mins. Family had a great time! Haven\'t tried the griddle table, but all of our kids are grown and are more hungry thancreative, so the griddle table was not missed. But if you have young ones, a griddle table would be the way to go to keep itinteractive and fun! Read more
Great place for breakfast, though there are also more “lunch” and dinner options!\n\nYou can get either a table with a... griddle to have a partial “cook your own” pancake experience (they will cook meats in the back) or a non griddle table. Theyhave several different batter types including buttermilk. We opted for the “color package” which gives you four colors ofpancake batter to work with (was a lot of fun). You also have a choice of all sorts of toppings like fruits, peanut butterchips, Nutella, sprinkles, and more. For both types of tables there is a well appointed menu that has an assortment of classicbreakfast items (omelettes, eggs Benedict) and lunch (po boys) and more.\n\nService was solid, though there can be a good waitbefore hand if it is busy, even after seating. Overall our experience was good though. There is an outside area that’savailable too, but it was nice that inside was fairly cool even with the griddles all running inside, since it was 90+ degreesin June.\n\nWe had a lot of fun and didn’t break the budget — recommend checking this out! Back water is still fairly new, so there’s quite a crowd waiting especially at busy times like 10 in the morning. Fortunately,... there were plenty of counter seats available. You don’t get the whole griddle experienced there, but the service is fast,friendly, and very thorough. The place is still very clean despite how busy it is. The food is pretty much cooked to order,unless you grill it yourself, and my eggs were perfect. Somehow they were able to isolate my tomatoes from my hot eggs - and thetomatoes were still cold. I’ve never had a BLT like that before. Impressive! The bacon is very thick, high-quality, and cookedto order. Our waiter was tremendously accommodating and helpful, didn’t miss a step, and was super happy to be there. That’sso rare unfortunately. We will definitely be back. It’s an excellent experience for couples, families, and people of all ages. Read more
Consistent, well-made, and same exceptional experience as Backwater in downtown Melbourne.\n\nThe Wickham location has higher... ceilings with the restaurant area seeming a bit larger as a result. Even more bar seating existons on Wickham, which is often agreat seating option. The decor is still a museum level collection of old Florida items. The staff was just as friendly andefficient as downtown Melbourne.\n\nThe offerings are prepared just as well. The Wickham location is a great way to give anotherconvenient access to Backwater’s great offerings a little further north than downtown Melbourne. I included a photo I found onmy phone after I asked the owner to take a picture of our group after a meal a few years. You can see his Florida pride. We’vebeen customers for years and look forward to many more at the new location.\n\nThis is a must visit location for great food,great old Florida atmosphere with clean and efficient service. First time visiting and we had a pleasant experience. Service was friendly and attentive. All of our food was hot and tasty.... They have fresh squeezed orange juice ????! Poached eggs were perfect ???? buttermilk pancake was excellent-so fluffy and a goodsize! We will definitely come back to try out some other dishes! Read more
One of the best spots for breakfast in town! Food is consistently delicious and satisfying. Their special rotating menu pumpkin... spice pancakes are a must try! So far everything I\'ve tried had been excellent. From the eggs Benedict with home fries to theBiscuits and gravy. Highly recommend! Read more
