I really like this place. Been a few times. Food has always been good. Love the outside area. Service has always been great. My... husband and I went there last Friday and the bartender, I believe Kaitlin, was so sweet and handled me crying over a loss wejust suffered, with such grace! Management was awesome. The good: our server Annalea was very quick to seat us, thorough in going over the menu, and very sweet and polite. Our service... was fantastic from her. The restaurant itself is beautiful, has a very large bar selection, and a welcoming cushioned loungearea outside surrounded by palm trees with fire features and large TVs on the wall. It's a stunning visual layout. Thebad: Portion sizes are tiny and prices are exponentially higher than the comparable Spanish restaurants in Melbourne. They donot provide a basket of chips and salsa for free like all the other restaurants. Tacos are served on tiny 3-in shells for $4-5each. My boyfriend ordered a burrito for almost $20 that came with no side dishes and was filled mostly with al dente rice.Also, the food is extremely bland. We were not expecting authentic Mexican, but we're definitely expecting some sort of flavorsin our food. Especially for those prices. $33 for a plate of fajitas! Probably why it was dead on a Sunday during dinner hour. Iwould say this is an excellent place to go for a few drinks, perhaps as a business networking spot. I ordered the Birra's Tacos, with rice, and beans. Beans were great, Birra's Tacos amazing! But the rice is so burnt I almost... Really Hard... Would give it a 3 IF I only ordered the Birra's Tacos. We went on 2/27/22, a Sunday around 7pm. The place was practically empty on the inside. Our server had really bad energy, I... don?t know if this girl was having a bad day or what but she shouldn?t be a server if she is going to be so dismissive toguests. She seemed extremely disappointed after we got water and chips and dip to start. And then proceeded to disappear forlong periods of time and became more dismissive when she did come to the table and took our order. We had an empty water glasson the end of the table for over 10 minutes while her and other servers we standing in front of the bar and were all complainingabout the guests seated outside. She didn?t refill the water until our food was brought out and never offered to fill our otherone. It honestly felt like she thought we were an inconvenience. At the end of our meal she practically threw the check down onour table and painfully told us to have a good night. I hate to say this, but she is the worst server I?ve ever had. The placewas empty, there was literally no excuse for such bad service. Tried this place for lunch , we decided to try the tacos , fish, shrimp, pork, beef ? everything was tasty, colorful, great... balance in spice .. shrimp was my favorite . Oh and I tried a margarita , in a Mexican restaurant I know big surprise lol?anyway my margarita was perfect ? I will definitely come back ?. Really good Mexican style food, and a cool atmosphere. The outside seating area is a neat chill out place for drinks and sports... games. Great tequila drinks! I little on the pricey side but worth every penny. Read more
