Matt's Casbah large outdoor patio is a fun spot to enjoy some drinks, have a good conversation, and enjoy the Florida weather,... all with ample shade and fans to keep it enjoyable. This place was fantastic. We had a part of 20 for my moms birthday and they did an exceptional job serving us. They have a wide... selection of special and the menu has something for everyone. We got the surfboard to start which is a huge sushi platter. Thefish tasted great and the appearance was awesome. I had the grouper which was a special this evening and it was fantastic! Very good food, many options for vegetarian, gluten free, or meat eaters. The salad was fresh and delicious. I got grilled... chicken with sesame dressing and was pleased. The server was friendly and adequately handled our large group. The only negativething I can say is that the kitchen door is extremely loud and servers are entering it all the time so it's a little unnerving,but that's nobody's fault. Will definitely be back and just make sure that we sit more towards the front of the restaurant oroutside. The back is beautiful with the hanging silks from the ceiling, but too noisy. Read more
Matt’s Casbah Fun and Lively Atmosphere, Friendly Service, Hit or Miss Food Date of Visit 7-15-2022 Being local my wife and... I have been by Matt’s Casbah multiple times but have not eaten there in many, many years (not since it was Pop’s Casbah). There always seems to be decent crowd with lots of smiles, laughing and live music on the weekend evenings. As usual, when wearrived it was already busy at 5pm. We were unable to find a handicapped parking spot, or any parking spot nearby, however, theparking attendant was kind enough to allow us to park in their valet lot. The wait staff was very friendly and who I assume wasa manager was merrily frequenting tables assisting guests, chatting and making their children laugh. The décor is somewhateclectic and fun and the music from the live band on the front patio fills the restaurant for a very cheerful and relaxingatmosphere. Our waiter, Bobby was upbeat and friendly. He explained the daily specials, one of which was their “daily”gourmet burger, and pointed out entrées that may be to our liking based on our protein preferences, and assured us they had thebest Sushi in town. Our appetizer of chicken wings came out with perfectly crispy (naked as requested) skin and juicy moistmeat on the inside. There were only 3 wings, however, they were the full wings with the drumstick and flat together and theywere exceptionally large wings. The sauces were very limited to a couple of bbq variations and buffalo. They were very tastywithout any dip sauce. My wife’s Bisteka was cooked perfectly to medium rare and was tender, juicy, tasty, and she enjoyed itvery much. Regrettably the menu did not mention the entrée came with a pile of some type of potato and since we do not eatstarches it was waisted instead of substituted for a vegetable.
