2nd visit was just as pleasurable as the first. Classic meatloaf was awesome but today's breakfast for lunch was stupifyingly... good. Will be back whenever we cross the causeway into town. Cute happening place. Decent sizes, decent prices. And the flavors are fantastic! Staff is excellent as well. The spicy honey... chicken biscuits are delicious and Juicy with a hint of a spice kick. The steak bowl was tender, and the perfect balance ofsteak and eggs. The cheesy grits are great. Full of flavor and robust heartiness. The bread pudding... well its one of theabsolute best I've had. Excellent place. The decor matched the atmosphere and the 80s/90s music was great. Kaitlyn was professional and knowledgeable on... the menu. My meat loaf was seared on one side of each slice which gave it the grill taste. Compliments to all. Read more
I ordered the pot roast for takeout. Very nice 3 large pieces of meat and potatoes with gravy and carrots. Unfortunately, it... was way too salty! I know taste buds differ; however, I have eaten lots of meals out, and this was seasoned with too much salt!It was hard to enjoy because you can't reduce the salt, lol. This resteraunt is a must visit! Soon as you walk in, you will be amazed at the diner setup and atmosphere. They have some light... background music playing overhead and some stunning ambient lighting. I came here for breakfast and this place didn'tdisappoint. They have everything from chicken and waffle to avocado toast. Basically, whether you are looking for a heavybreakfast or a light one, this place has plenty of items for you on the menu. The photos I have attached are there biscuits andgravy, cheese grits, scrambled eggs, and strawberry sweat tea. The service was 5 stars from the time I walked in the door untilI left. It was our first time dining at the Metro Diner, I ordered meatloaf, mashed potatoes and broccoli. My husband ordered fried... chicken, french fries and coleslaw. I ate all of my food, my husband is a critic so he complained about how salty the chickenwas and how the chicken & french fries was cooked to fast. I had no complaints until the next morning, I was having symptoms offood poisoning and my husband had the same symptoms 2 days later.
