I absolutely love the atmosphere in here and the decor in the place is great. The only thing that sucks is the bartenders never... ever seem to acknowledge anyone besides regulars. The only drink I?ve gotten there was because a friend of mine seemed to knowone of the employees. All in all if you have any form of social anxiety maybe consider going elsewhere. Read more
I go here with all kinds of groups of friends. It's almost always busy on the weekends you should expect to stand around there's... not too many seats A very cute plant wall for pictures! A must for you and ur peeps. The only thing I have as a heads up is ifyou go in and sit down you may be surprised that there's no table service- I had some friends put off by this- but its just acasual bar that serves food so if you want to order you may have to go up and ask, not just sit down. This was a good place to go and hang out in a cool spot for cheap. If you?re looking for really tasty food, this is probably not... be the place for you. The food is mediocre, but it is cheap and that?s good. The bartender was really nice and everybody seemedto be having a chill time with friends. I would be happy to return. Read more
Visited the Salty Fox today for lunch. Was pretty quiet during 12:30/1. I definitely want to come back later at night to see how... packed it gets. I tried a cocktail and sliders, the cocktail was pretty good - gave me a good buzz. I tried the two cheeseburgersliders and a buffalo chicken slider. The cheeseburgers were def my favorite. They have a great selection of sandwiches and theyalso do taco Tuesday?s! I definitely want to come back and try the ramen they have on their menu. Read more
By all means go here! Initially and upon walking up we thought it very different from their website, but don?t let it fool you!... We first walked in then left, headed to another bar (which by all means left our expectations way below met), then returned toThe Salty Fox. Walk to the back, grab yourself a seat, and have an order of candied jalapeños with the beer of your choice.With fantastic, and honest, service, you?ll greatly appreciate making a stop at this bar. Fantastic! The staff and the patrons were all great. Made the bar feel like home even as a new person in town. Great people... great drinks! If you find yourself in Melbourne this is the place to be. Can't say anything about the food. Didn't have it. If your looking for a friendly bar and one pool table, then this is your... place. Not very big. I would say cozy. Super nice staff. It looks a little on the dive bar spectrum but don't let that stopyou. It's a service bar so there are no wait staff. Just bartenders. But they are so friendly they will do thier best to helpor accomodate you if you have a big group. It's a great place to start your bar hop night. Read more
