The Chicken Parm sandwich was…. absolute garbage. No taste, no seasoning and the chicken was cheap (chewy bits, not actual... chicken breast). And the guy was straight up rude. Lot of new options in Melrose. Nice costs nothing. Maybe it’s because Idiscovered Frankie Slice in Peabody. That is a chicken parm! I wouldn't mind coming back if the other pizza spots in Melrose are busy. I ordered online during peak dinnertime and the... order, instead of taking half an hour as estimated, took a full hour. That said, the staff are friendly and the pizza tastesgood. It helps that the topping portions, at least for the large, are generous. My order needed some more salt to taste rightwhich was unexpected but easily fixed at home. Read more
Our first visit to Petrone's Pizza was great. When we ordered a large veggie pizza, the owner told us we were in for something... special. He wasn't kidding. The first thing this place has is great staff! I called and asked about a “pie delivery”, and automatically had a multiple... choice question about apple pie, blueberry pie, or pizza pie ???? Lively phone call and got two pizzas. The cheese was stretchy,the sauce was just right with a hint of sweetness, and the crust is PERFECTION! We just moved to the area, so finding a pizzalike this, right off the bat, is a solid win! A couple of days after we went and got some cheesy bread and anotherpizza! 100/10. The pizza was great had to eat it with a fork it was so big. The crust was so soft but cooked all the way through delicious. My... main course was chicken wing basket but ended up with dings still delicious with steak fries which was surprisingly good as welldid not taste old or frozen came out hot. The Works is good. I order a separate pizza with mushrooms but they forgot the mushrooms. They were pretty swamped when I went... there. Maybe in the rush, they forgot the mushrooms. Found out when I got home, and was too much hassle to go back andfix. They seem like nice people so I'm sure they'll give me mushrooms next time if I bring it up. Read more
