My best friend invited me to celebrate the birthday of her amazing mother, who is also a Mom to me too. We met at Amerigo's. It... was the first time I had ever been. From the ambiance to our amazing waitress, Emily (from New Orleans, I believe), everythingwas absolutely phenomenal! I expected the food would probably be good, but I didn't anticipate that everything would be sodelicious!! If I could give Amerigo's 10 stars, I would. One of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time! Read more

This isn’t my first visit to amerigo which I’m normally satisfied but this time I wasn’t too thrilled. It was Father’s... Day so I can understand running out of things . The artichoke dip was excessively oily. The cannelloni was no longer available.I ordered the chicken ravioli and on top was a fried sliced artichoke.. the fried breading was so so so salty I felt dehydratedeven after 1 bite. I ordered wine and it was really flat. The crab cakes were good at least. Sad face.sad face Read more

I don't five star a restaurant very often. They earned it. The food was fantastic. Artistically prepared. The waitress courteous... an attentive but not overwhelming. I will be back. Read more

The cheese fritters were a life changing experience. They seem to be the fancy version of mozzarella sticks and they deliver.... Mozz sticks cannot hold a candle to the beautiful and dazzling display served here. Our server was fantastic and kept us wellsupplied with bread. The hostess was also exceptional. The main entrees were nothing special to us (I can't remember what weordered tbh) and the mac and cheese I got was genuinely disappointing. If you are interested in trying them out, I beg you togive yourself the miracle of their cheese fritter appetizer. Also maybe ask for butter with your bread instead of oil. I wish wehad tried that. I want to be clear. The food is excellent. One of the better Italian restaurants in East Memphis. However, I was very... disappointed in the serving size of the OVEN-ROASTED ARTICHOKE CHEESE DIP. The taste was fantastic, but the serving size waspathetic. I don’t even think it was 3 ounces. They give you some buttered bread that consists of about 10 pieces. Theartichoke dip didn’t last five pieces of those sliced toasts. The actual dip did not fill half of the small sized container. It just wasn’t enough for the $11 charge. Maybe $5.50, but definitely not $11. Read more

Lovely meal. Don't miss the grilled artichokes. Truly delicious. Husband had a bowl of shrimp bisque and cannelloni with... chicken. My pasta.dish was fettuccini with sausage and mushrooms. On our second visit, we again started with the grilledartichokes. Even though they must have originated as canned or frozen, they are delicious with or without the two aiolis. Ithink one is roasted red pepper and the other a tangy parmesan cheese. Husband had veal piccata that was divine. Read thiscarefully. Do NOT order the shrimp scampi. It is nasty with a funky taste, a thick gluey broth and covered with sauteedtomatoes. Avoid. I couldn't eat it. I would be remiss if I did not recommend their mixed spring salad. Crisp, fresh, just theright amount of ingredients. The focaccia and oil is the perfect added touch. Great, friendly service. Highly recommend. Read more

Exceptional food and service we had tonight…We had cheese fritters to start as a great appetizer… sausage & bow ties had... excellent flavor / texture and the chicken margarité was also just delicious. To top it all off, the prices are quite fair forsuch good food and portions. We can’t wait to go back! Read more
