Went excited to try the food, the presentation of the food was amazing but it took a turn once I tasted the food. I ordered... Crawfish chowder & a Caesar salad. The dressing has a strong milk base it was not savory, and the chowder was scorched. I didnot enjoy either but could not return it for something different bc that would have been an additional meal to purchase. I wasout of $20 and still didn’t enjoy my food. Read more

I visited this restaurant during the week. The servers, cook, and bartenders were really nice and provided great service. The... food was AMAZING ...everything was fresh and tasty. My friend ordered the voodoo pasta...they wolfed it down so I didn't get apic. I had a side of fried green tomatoes that were delicious. I can't remember the names of the drinks I had, but they were allgood. I will definitely visit again. Read more

Food was amazing. Service was terrible. We arrived for an 830 reservation. Restaurant was nearly empty, with just one party of 6... (which already had food) all other tables inside were dirty with dishes piled up. We requested to sit on the patio as it was anice evening. 2 patio tables dirty with piled dishes. Olivia, arrived promptly, got drink and app order. We ordered the friedcalamari app which was delicious and a huge portion. (It’s spicy though fyi) Drinks came fast, as did the app, piping hot andfresh. After that, service went downhill. No server check back for 20 min, finally she comes back and gets the main dish order.I ordered the Dejavu special and my companion the fried oysters. His food came within 15 min. Mine took 40 minutes and wasincorrect. (Missing the sauce and crawfish it was supposed to be topped with) it was corrected and the dish wasdelicious. However in the time between his food arriving and mine, she checked on us only once. She did not come back again foranother 20 minutes or so, and it was only to drop the check. We sat with empty drinks for the majority of the meal. No managerseemed to be present, and if there was one they certainly did not stop by the table to ensure the problem with my dish wasrectified. They add an automatic gratuity of 20% percent which is stated clearly and boldly for all guests to see by the frontdoor before entering the establishment. I do not feel she earned an entire 20% but whatever. The policy is stated clearly. Iwould be more forgiving and understanding if they had been busy, but as I said there was only one party of 6 when we arrivedthat already had their food and us. During our nearly two hours, we did not witness any other patrons come into theestablishment. Read more

Would give more stars if possible! We had the Boudin balls, Voodoo pasta, and BBQ shrimp & grits (I opted for blackened chicken... instead of shrimp). Everything was exceptional! The cocktails and mixed drinks were perfectly balanced. Staff was friendly. JustWOW! Read more

Food was amazing. The restaurant is beautiful decorated and inviting, but the service was less than desirable. Our food came... relatively quickly and looked amazing (see picture) but our waiter was less than attentive, and seemed to more interested inshowing off his nails (which were beautiful) so he forgot my gumbo and we had to call for him several times for times. At theend of our meal I ordered some beignets, and when they brought them they were extremely some and over cooked. Overall impressionwas good food, nice atmosphere, but if you are going to include a mandatory 20% tip, make sure the service is worth it. Read more

If you were to pass by it on the street, the place wouldn't look like it was open. But, once you walk in, you are transported to... old New Orleans with a dimly lit atmosphere highlighted by some music in the background. The menu features Cajun fare and isvery good. I found the gumbo to be delightfully spicy and filling. The alligator sausage and cheese plate was a nice appetizerbut I don't think that the sausage, cheese and crackers mix very well. There is a cocktail menu which looked tempting but I didnot partake. The bar staff is very cool and friendly. Read more
