We worked all day, and needed a quick dinner. We decided on an old favorite and went to Mellow Mushroom. We were quickly greeted... by Peter, who brought us to our table and served throughout the night. Peter was quick and efficient, knowledgeable and helpful,and pleasant and kind. Such a waste of our only night in Memphis. We waited 20minutes to be seated initially which was odd because most tables were... empty but that was fine. Then we waited another 10-15minutes for water. Two waitresses came up to us and asked us if anyone hadhelped us yet. Once we finally got someone they began taking our order and then had to walk off because she didn?t have anotepad to write it down. Finally our waitress came. One of us ordered the avocado hoagie- which not only came out before ourpretzel appetizer. It came out LONG before our pretzels. We truly could have got a better sandwich from subway. When thepretzels arrived well over an hour later after the sandwich they were not only made incorrectly (parm instead of salt) they wereburnt! No point in mentioning it and waiting another 1.5hours for more pretzels. Mind you we have been at the Mellow Mushroom inMyrtle Beach so we know how good these pretzels are supposed to be. Asked for a marinara that we received at least 20minuteslater. Received our two small pizzas another 30+minutes after the pretzels And one was made incorrectly without avocado,marinara, or pineapple as it was ordered. And when they charge per ingredient this is unacceptable. After waiting 2hours for ourpizza there was no chance we were going to send it back. Worst part of it too was watching parties arriving long after us allreceive their food first. We sat without water for over 40minutes. Our waitress never noticed any of our dishes were incorrect,apologized for wait time, or was prompt about literally anything in the dining experience. I could have just blamed the kitchenstaff for incorrect food but when it came to the receipt the order for the pizza was incorrect. The total was $62.45. Gave thewaitress $25.45 and said to put the rest on the card. The bill should have come back at $37.00 ? it came back at $37.21. Our family went back for the second time just like we said we would and had such a great experience ? The general manager was so... sweet and kind to us just like our first visit ? and the pizza was amazing! This time I ordered the vegetable pizza and it wasso delicious especially with the ranch dip!
