Molly?s- THANK YOU for being an open small business with friendly staff. This place has no room for BS- what you see is what you... get. I have been a vegan for 2 years and I really appreciated your wide range of vegan options on the menu. Both the vegan tacosalad and the margarita that I ordered was absolutely delicious. The portion sizes for the food and drinks were very fair giventhe prices. As someone who works in the food industry, prices are just going up on all fronts right now, and it is notnecessarily the fault of the establishment. Great place to eat and hang out for a bit. Like most Mexican restaurants in the south you will get free chips and salsa with... your meal. Their cheese dip is good (How could you have bad cheese dip?). My favorite meals are Fajitas, or the T-man special.If you ask nicely, they'll probably bring you some more tortillas for you fajitas. Their drink sizes are large, so it's hard tobe empty. Overall just a good atmosphere. The only downside to this place is that parking can be a hassle sometimes. Read more
Went for lunch today. My first clue should have been the fact that there was a out 3 other people in total at the restaurant at... 12:30. We ordered our food promptly off the lunch menu and after 43 min our tiny lunches arrived. (we were a party of two). Thebeans were horrible, definitely out of s can and burnt. The lunch fajitas was 4 slinder pieces of very dry chicken and about aquarter cup of onions. I'll definitely never eat there again. EDIT: After owner reply, I do not recommend this place AT ALL. This place is only open because of the location, cheap... margaritas, and the general lack of authentic Mexican food in Memphis. Do the city a favor and change the name to TEX-MEX,because that is exactly what it is and it's sad that they're offended for being called out for the truth. Not "bad" but farfrom good. I was debating giving it 2 stars because it is quite literally the definition of TexMex food-bland, but they claimthey're the "best mexican food in memphis" and it is FAR from it. I wanted something fresh and easy on the stomach so we choseto give it a shot but the food was so tasteless it almost made me sick. There's two entrances which is confusing and when wegot to the host stand, it took forever for the host to appear but when they did we got sat quickly which was surprising for aFriday evening. A few minutes after getting sat, a large party with kids got sat and this place became even more noisy andchaotic. I've been to bars quieter than this. Food was decently priced but tasted like nothing. The guac was good and probablyworth the price but I heard the portion is tiny so I'd suggest getting it with your food, if you even bother coming here. Serverwas really nice and food came out quickly. If your boring friend is visiting and you need to appease to their badly conditionedtastebuds, sure give this place a try but otherwise, stay away! Honestly, my first time visiting was yesterday for dinner. The food was tasteless, my quesadilla had very little chicken,... cheese, and veggies inside. It was very dry. Used to be really good, now just ok. $15 margaritas had no alcohol in them and pork fajitas were meager and dry. Good flavor... overall, but with as much competition as there is in this area, Molly's needs to get it together or they won't be here in a yearor 2. Read more
Went there for the first time a few evenings back, and was very satisfied. The staff were polite and attentive. The food arrived... quickly, and it was very good. I had beef enchiladas, with rice and refried beans, all good. The salsa is fantastic, I ate morechips and salsa after my meal, something I usually wouldn't do.
