This was the 3rd time at Trillium. The previous 2 visits were exceptional. This time, the food was not into par. The Salmon... Collar did not have as much meat as advertised and had a hard "shell". The Flat Iron steak had some gristle and fat. The FlatBread and Bread pudding were below par as well. The service was great, as always. I'm hoping it was just a bad night for thekitchen and not just serving what was left. We have reservations for Thanksgiving so fingers crossed it will be back to it'shigh standards. Read more

We love this restaurant. Thankfully it not only survived covid, but it is thriving. The service is always top notch (attentive... with just the right amount of table touches.) The food here is always fresh and well thought out, made with the finestingredients. I do miss the Lillet Blanc being on the drink list, and one tap beer would be welcome, but these are minorcomplaints. There is a new addition to the restaurant since our last visit and that is the giant outdoor tent. It's almost likea circus-style tent with a very tall center pole. It covers most of the outdoor seating and their very beautiful garden. It mustlook very serene at night with all of the lights strung throughout. We will have to come back for dinner next time. If you'rein or near Mendocino, you really need to stop by Trillium. Read more

Fabulous food in a pleasant outdoor setting under their tent. Eat amongst a manicured garden with fine food. We sampled the pork... chop with broccoli, fingerling potatoes and pineapple sauce, vegan gnocchi with pesto and pumpkin seeds and their homemade Mac.All was so good. Great service. Read more

We came for dinner during our visit to Mendocino over July 4 weekend. The restaurant is very full for dinner, so do try to make... a reservation ahead of time via Yelp. The outside dining is in a tent with heaters. Even though we ate quite late on a verycold night, we were comfortable and warm. Unfortunately, we found the food to be just so so. We ordered the duck confit andvegetable gnocchi. The ingredients were fresh and healthy, but the flavors of both dishes were quite bland. It was overall amediocre but expensive meal. Read more
