We were in Saint Paul visiting a friend. While for an early place for dinner, we found this restaurant on Google. It was... excellent! The menu is simple and everything is well prepared and served hot. Read more

We ate at Mucci’s for the first time last night. The food was great! Loved everything we ordered. The outdoor patio is quiet... and relaxing. The service was amazing! We are so used to restaurants where the staff has their own section and do not payattention to anything else. The staff at Mucci’s worked as a team, always moving and doing whatever needed to be done nomatter what it was or whose section it was. We will definitely be back!! Read more

Intimate Italian eatery. Select menu of delectable choices. We had the agnolotti and bucatini, both excellent choices. Donuts... with raspberry preserves and tiramisu was dessert. Red wine and a "special" cocktail were consumed as well. Nice selection onliquors. Read more

Came here for Valentine's Day and had a pleasant experience. We've been to Mucci's several times in the past, once dine in and... mostly takeout during the pandemic. So my four star rating is for all the experiences we've had. Today we tried the valentinesampler and my wife got the Bucatini (which is her favorite dish here). The Panzanella salad and Italian wedding soup were bothextremely tasty. However the entree, which was some beef filled ravioli was a bit odd in my opinion. Tasted a bit onedimensional. Bucatini was way better. Additionally, I realized later the sampler for 3 courses was $65 which means that eachdish was priced at 20+, while Bucatini was $18. No way that my dishes would have been valued that high, especially the soup andsalad. I also wish they would have spaced the tables a bit more for Valentine's Day because if this were meant to be a romanticatmosphere it was totally ruined by other parties within 2 feet of us on both sides. Luckily my wife and I aren't on first datesso it was no big deal. Generally we like coming to Mucci's for a medium date night because it's not quite upscale and it's toopricey to be a normal "going out" restaurant. So it fits that in-between place Read more

Let me start with saying the food is FANTASTIC. Truly, I can’t say enough about how great the food was. I tried the special... appetizer which was sautéed shishito peppers and the special entree, which was arancini over ragout. It was absolutelydelicious and a perfect portion and price. Friend had the bucatini which was also great. Less fantastic was the experience. Wecame with a reservation and were a bit disappointed that there wasn’t a table for us. We were seated at the counter, which wasalright but would have been disappointing if we had been on a first date or were there to celebrate. There’s something aboutwatching food being made that is magical when it’s a full sensory experience. It wasn’t, though. It was just loud, and a bitchaotic. If I’m looking into a kitchen while I’m eating, I want to be able to hear the knives, the sizzles, the splatters, and the plating. That wasn’t the case at all. Also notable, the server had a sorta weird energy and approach. My friend who Iwas with noticed it, too, and said they felt uncomfortable the whole time. It felt like we weren’t supposed to be there. Maybewe weren’t dressed as nicely as the environment they want to curate? I noticed the two seated next to us at the counter lookeda lot like us, so thats what we left feeling; a bit unwelcome. I've dined at Mucci’s in 2016 and in 2021 and I believe they have the best montanara pizza in North America. Their deep fried... dough with super fresh ingredients, paired with their stellar staff… Mucci's is a must visit if you're in the region. Read more
