I really wanted to love Jake's because it brings back memories from my youth; however in all honesty, it had both plusses and... negatives. The atmosphere and service were fantastic, we had a great server and a beautiful view of the lake. The menu andfood were unfortunately not up to par. Jake's cut prime rib was very small and fatty, three of our party had this experience. Shrimp Alfredo fettuccine had, count them, only three Shrimp! There was no salad or vegetable offered with the entrees and forthe prices, I'd expect that. I'll go back again for the memories and mood, not necessarily because of the food. Read more
My Daughter, Sarah Beth & Her Girlfriend came Home to visit from Denver, CO for Labor Day Weekend. We decided to Head out to... Jake's Supper Club for the Afternoon. We sat and Listened to the Band, ????"40 Fingers"????, had an Appetizer of Shrimp ????,and thoroughly Enjoyed ourselves. My husband and I had made a reservation for 6:45 when we got there they handed us a buzzer and said that it would go off when... our table was ready. No big deal right they were pretty busy and if I had to wait 10-15 mins we understood. We waited an hourfor a reservation that we made in advance. The cheese curds and salad were great. My husband ordered the fish and it came outmushy with no flavor. I ordered a steak done medium that was well done. Overall the staff was nice and the food was ok. Read more
First time here - and we?ll definitely come back. What a beautiful place both inside and out. Great old time feel inside, wide... open decks with views of the river outside. Our server was top notch. One of the nicest places in town. Service is great; food comes out hot. Our server Sydney did amazing with our goofy family. We... had shrimp scampi with HUGE baked potato. Girls got Cajun pasta, a good kick with juicy chicken. My dad got fried chicken for agood deal too, he loved it. Mom got the French onion soup and loved it. I also love their homemade ranch. This was my first time going here. My boyfriend brought me in to celebrate getting a promotion. Our waiter was super friendly... and great service. The old fashion with orange Jameson was delicious. The food was incredibly filling but dessert was evenbetter. After we ate and paid our bill we went and sat down by the water for a little bit. Read more
***Updated 11/23/22***another awesome dining experience with my wife and daughter... Everything was fantastic great food drinks... and service...but I was disappointed to not receive soup or salad option... It's starting to happen more and more at the supperclubs we like and it's a real bummer...I feel like it's an integral part of the dining experience at a supper club and part ofthe value of going... I've seen it at multiple places and it's a really sad sign of the times I guess... Please bring back soupand salad! I understand it's likely due to costs but I can promise you it'll definitely be a deciding factor on which restaurantwe'll choose on our next outing. My honest opinion. Great food service and atmosphere always a winner! Just as good as it'salways been and we been going for over 20 years.
