Carryouts don't get any better than this. High quality meats, home made sides and a variety of European desserts. Reasonable... prices and daily specials. Read more

They were out of perch so we got the cod dinner for more at $16.25 each. Crunchy outside with a pastey inner fish cake. The oil... it was cooked in smelled bad! The fish was funky. Canned corn and instant mashed potatoes on the side with brown gravy. Who putsbrown gravy with a fish dinner! No butter for the slice of bread or mashed potatoes. No slice of lemon to hide the terriblefish. I've had their perch dinner once before and it was great. We will never return. So disappointing!!! Read more

I recently had a meal from Kuhar's Carry Out located on the east side of Broadmoor Road/State Route 306 and just south of Mentor... Avenue/US Route 20 in Mentor, Ohio. Kuhar's Carry Out is located in a small strip mall. There is plenty of free off-streetparking for this strip mall. Wheelchair accessibility from the parking lot is limited - see below. The food is very tasty andyou are served ample portions of food. The pastry choices looked very good - I did not try any of the pastry items. You placeyour order at the counter. During my visit, late afternoon after 3 p.m., there is one counter person and one cook on duty. Thekitchen is located behind the counter and you can watch your meal being prepared. Lunch portions are served until 2 p.m. Iordered the dinner portion of the daily special. My dinner consists of two good sized Wiener Schnitzel (pork). There is achoice of two sides. I selected the potato salad and the sauerkraut. You, also, get one slice of bread with a small cup ofbutter. The Schnitzel and the sides came in generous portions with great taste. Two servings of the small cups of butter wouldbe better since there is no sauce with the Wiener Schnitzel. An entree with sauce would not need an additional small cup ofbutter if you use the bread to mop up the sauce. I, also, ordered a cup of the soup of the day. The Chicken Dumpling souptasted very good and had nice pieces of vegetables in the broth. The staff is friendly and helpful and the space is clean. Unfortunately, you have to stand the entire time and the temperature of the room is very warm. Some customers went outside tostand on the sidewalk in the shade to get away from the heat in the waiting area in early July. I am rating Kuhar's Carry Out athree primarily for the price of the dinner. The price is comparable to a sit down German restaurant. The portions and tasteare comparable to the sit down German Restaurant. You get the decor and service in a sit down restau Read more

The place is great. I do wish the schnitzel came with some sort of like a cranberry sauce, and the pierogies came with more... onions. I never got any sour cream but luckily we had some at home. But the food is awesome and priced well Read more

If you have or had an old school European Grandma, like I did, you'll want to come here. Soups are made fresh daily. Get a menu.... The specials rotate. I love the stuffed cabbage. I suggest you buy the 6 or 12 at a time and freeze them in individual portions. For dessert you just got to try the custard squares! There's lots to love at Kuhar's! Be of Joy! ???? Read more

Good basic service. Roast beef meal, consisting of 5-6 thin slices of tough beef and gravy, a scoop of yummy buttery mashed... potatoes and gravy, and a scoop of canned corn with a slice of bread plus one quart of dumpling soup (mostly dumplings) cost $46for 3 meals. I do not feel my dinner was worth $15 and I doubt I will return to Kuhar's Carryout. Read more
