Summer 2022 update: still great service, still amazing food. Go there. Eat meat, and be happy. Mission BBQ is one of my... favorite BBQ places. I was super excited when I head we were getting on in Mentor. The service is always outstanding. The staffare quick and friendly and always willing to help. The food is always good. I've been to the Canyon, OH location a handful oftimes and the food there is consistent to here. The meats are always good quality and cooked to perfection. The sides areflavorful and you get a good amount of them. I love the selection of glass bottle sodas and then there's a good selection offountain drinks, tea, and lemonade. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. The variety of sauces is enough toplease everyone. If you haven't been here, give them a try! Read more
Stopped here from out of town after a soccer game today, and wish we lived closer. What a great place! Phenomenal food and... service are hard to come by separately, but this place has both! Mission BBQ is a high quality establishment. The staff were super friendly and they do a great job of taking care of their... military veterans. I also learned that they do the pledge of allegiance everyday at noon. Food was very fresh as well and theyhave a variety of BBQ sauces you can choose from with origins around the country. One of the most friendly and helpful staff in all of lake county. If you like really good Smoky Barbecue this is a MUST It?s... finger licking good ????. Fresh cut French Fries and there blend of vinegar I died and gone to heaven. This is not a cheapbargain bottle of barbecue sauce. I purchased the 5 person dinner. To surprised family with lunch. I picked for my selections the pull pork and brisket as my two... meats, collard greens, mac-n -cheese, bake beans, cornbread and added a side of cole slaw. When I say my family loved the meal.. .they loved loved the meal. That mac n cheese is like home made. I will be patronizing Mission BBQ again!!! Read more
Amazing BBQ! This was our first time eating at Mission BBQ and we didn?t know what to expect when we first walked in. But the... guy taking our order was very helpful and explained the whole menu to us which was very nice. I ordered the brisket with Macand cheese and corn bread and my wife ordered a pulled pork sandwich with Mac and cheese. After we ordered Jared the guydistributing the food was very pleasant and asked us if it was our first time. He explained their whole process with smoking themeats for over 12 hours and not having a fridge or microwave in the restaurant! We love that they have many choices of saucesat their tables- even though the brisket didn?t need any sauce to be delicious. It was very moist and great smoked flavor andthe Mac and cheese was one of the best in town. The corn bread was warm and fresh and was so good my wife ate half of it andwished she had gotten her own. The atmosphere is very American and patriotic which is a nice reminder of our freedoms. We willdefinitely be back and I highly recommend if you want great BBQ and amazing service! Read more
Sunshine lived up to her name. Not only was she attentive but she was delightful!!! The food itself is good. Simple, but good.... The draw is the selection of regional BBQ sauces on the table. My only reason for holding back from 5 stars was the lack ofuniqueness. It felt like I was in a Chipotle for BBQ. Which there's nothing wrong with.
