Unreasonably slow service but the food is good. We went to Nines on a Friday night and we new we were in trouble from the moment... we walked in. The host station is at the front of the bar area which was very empty and at the back of the bar we could see thedoorway to the dining room. We stood at the host station for nearly 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged (we almostwalked out). 15 minutes after arriving, we were finally seated for our reservation. Out of 20 tables, 13 (including ours) wereseated, so not a very busy night. A server came by, introduced himself and then it was 10 minutes before we got water. Tookanother 10 to get our drinks, and then almost 30 to get the two fish fries we ordered. Ultimately the food itself was verygood. It's too bad everything was so slow because we were hoping to try dessert but after being there for 90 minutes already,we just could stand the thought of waiting again. The odd thing is, despite how empty they were, we over heard the managertelling another table that had complained about the slow service that it was a surprisingly busy night. Pricey, but food was very tasty. I gambled and tried the butternut squash risotto and loved it! Brussels appetizer was tasty for... me, but way too crispy for DH. Cranberry Walnut bread was also great. Went in February and it was pretty empty, but I wouldguess it would be busier in summer. Read more

I have dined at Nines Mequon several times recently with both my family and friends. The food and service are great, it is one... of my favorite restaurants in Mequon. We are looking forward to the Tuesday night events and the Thursday night Live Musicthrough the summer! Read more
Just had brunch at the Nines and the service was outstanding. We were greeted by the hostess and was seated at a very nice table... by the window. The server we had was also outstanding. Never had to wait. The restaurant was busy The brunch was outstandingwith a lot of breakfast and dinner selection to choose from. A regular turkey and outstanding prime rib for the main courseplus a great selection on breakfast goodies. The chocolate fondue was great. I meant my sister for brunch and was never rushed.I would highly recommend this restaurant for a delightful and relaxing brunch.
