I am editing my original review from 2 years ago. I left a 5 star rating but now I am giving this 2 stars! When Toni ownded... this cafe it was AMAZING! I never had an issue regarding staff or them being able to accomodate my needs. This morning Iwalked in on my own while my partner took our SMALL dog to the side. I asked for a table outside on the patio and we were givena table and served coffee. My issue is regarding the following: 1. The service just to get coffee was so SLOW! The serverbrought out coffee with creamer we asked for but NO spoons or serviceware at all! How did she expect us to stir in thecreamer? 2. They had just changed the menu over to lunch. Fine, we were rolling with it as we orignially wanted breakfast butwere looking forward to something great to eat. The issue is when I asked the server if we could please get 1 egg scrambled forour dog. (This has NEVER been an issue before) She had to go and "ask" in the back. Took FOREVER to come back only to tell usno becaue they had put everything away for breakfast! An EGG! I was watching their staff go in and out of their GIANT FRIDGEthe entire time I was made to wait and NO ONE could grab an egg out of the fridge and scramble it? Seriously? Yeah... Toni'sCourtyard Cafe.... You no longer get my money. And I can tell you I will make sure you no longer get my friends and family'smoney as well. While appreciate you made the effort to accomodate me and my dog, and EGG! How hard is it to get an egg out ofthe fridge and scramble it? Isn't that what the COOKS are PAID to do???? This little gem is tucked away in a tidy, clean parking area. The dining is calm and cool inside, and open and inviting outside... on the covered patio. On the patio, there is a small waterfall on the back wall and relaxing string lighting around. The seatcushions are super comfy, and most importantly, the food was delicious! It's presentation was also on point. This wouldn't havebeen so enjoyable with out the excellent service they gave! Thoroughly satisfied, we'll absolutely return. Read more
Had the specials, chorizo and jalapeno breakfast burrito and banana nut cinnamon bread pancakes and was very happy with our... food. Had great flavor, wasn't overly sweet the burrito was just slightly spicy with lots of flavor. Service was pretty quickeven when busy and the food came out hot too. The outdoor courtyard is very nice and relaxing, well shaded with fans tocirculate the air with a breeze. One of our favorite breakfast & brunch spots in Merced. Read more

I just ate a very delicious lunch here at Toni?s. The service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the Five Star Grilled Cheese... sandwich that has cheddar, Jack, Swiss, Provolone, and Pepper Jack Cheese! It comes with fries. I also ordered a bowl of Creamof Green Chili soup which I highly recommend. For my drink I had a strawberry Italian soda. Read more
I've been going to this place for years, and is definitely a hidden gem in this small town of Merced! The customer service is... always on point, drinks are never low, and the quality of food matches their pricing. Doesn't matter if it's breakfast or lunch,this place doesn't miss the mark. All of their food is freshly made, and the biscuits are to die for. Their gravy is REALcountry gravy with chunks of sausage, and you can't get that at many places anymore. I've never had a bad experience here, andthat's why I continue to go back. If you're a breakfast or brunch person, this place is for you. Read more
First time coming here - the service was great! The food.. was ok. The coffee tasted rough like it was the end of the pot that... had been sitting all morning. The food came out fast which was awesome but the flavors were off. I prefer crispy bacon but thebacon I recieved was beyond crispy. The country potatoes seem like they were full of oil, the pancake tasted like they justadded water to batter. Hopefully it was just an off day so we might try it again. Read more
