I'll start by saying I don't love the decor and felt like it gave everything kind of an "it feels antique so I don't want to... touch it in case it breaks" energy but that's just me. Anyways, food was great. We both got a French dip and it was spectacular,zucchini fries were also very good and a lot came in the order considering it was an appetizer. I was in Mercer for work and kept expanding my search out to find some place to eat. At 12:30, I could sit at the first come... first serve seating in the bar area or wait 15 minutes it was packed. Service was a bit slow and they were out of the first twobeers I ordered, but such is the luck of the draw. I ordered a steak salad, medium rare with the bleu cheese vinaigrette. Bleucheese vinaigrette? What? It was SO good. I personally like more greens and less romaine in my salad, but I?m weird. But thesteak was perfect and everything was great! Read more
Service was decent, especially considering they were slammed, and the food was adequate. Crab stuffed mushrooms and jalapeño... stuffed shrimp were done well. The Fun-guy burger was ok could have used more seasoning on the meat it was pretty bland. Theblackened shrimp tacos were good the coleslaw could have used a kick of lime to bring the flavor profile up. Overall it?s agood stop and as expected for the area. We just arrived in the area this evening and to our surprise found a lot of restaurants to choose from with a quick search.... Looked at a couple menus and decided to give Rachel?s a go. We are very glad we did! Parking lot was busy but we got right intoa table. Appetizers were great, beers were cold, my wife was excited that French onion soup is offered as a side with your meal,all the meals were phenomenal and we took peanut butter pie slices home for dessert later in the evening which were alsoexcellent! Our waiter was very friendly and even shared a little history of restaurant. Food was excellent ! Ordered 1/2 fish sandwich... which was huge and good & crispy. My husband got chicken Parmesan & crispy home fries.i can't forget the huge salted pretzel wchesse sauce. Read more
Rachel's is always amazing. Their beer list is large, menu is awesome and atmosphere is so cozy and beautiful. We love it!
