The three of us stopped in on a whim on a Monday evening around 7:00. The place was busy but we were seated quickly and waited... on quickly. We ordered varius sandwiches and several different appetizers and were quite happy with them all. Two of us orderedthe Firebird sandwich and the other the hot smoked ham and swiss. We also shared cheese curds, mozzarella sticks and friedgreen beans as appetizers. Everything was absolutely delicious and served hot and fresh. The meal was served quickly and waspriced affordably. Weve been traveling for 3 months on the motorcycle and this, by far, is the BEST pizza we've had! Large meat lovers with so much... cheese and large chunks of meat!! Service was amazing :) Kudos to the cook!! Ty Read more
Stopped in last week while my girlfriend and I were staying at Sandy Beach campground and wow!, What a surprise. As a chef ,... it's very very cool to stumble into a diamond in the rough thats unexpected and this place had it all. Jimmy the owner/chef hadserved up the best wings I've personally had ever had and his front of house staff was kind, insightful and polite. The menu wasnothing shy of someone who cares about their customers, experience, and goes the extra mile to make them feel full and satisfied. 100% recommend and 100% will be back!! My two sons and I stopped in last Wednesday because we were looking for some pizza mid-afternoon, and many places in the area... were either closed that day or didn't open until later. Jim and the others shined the moment we walked in. They were friendlyand took the time to treat us like locals (even though we aren't). Beverage prices were great, $2 -$4 for soda, mixed drinks,domestic beer, and a watermelon Red Bull one of my sons just had to have... The 16" pizza we ordered was fantastic, and it wasprobably the best I've had in the Mercer/Manitowish Waters area in the past 20 years. It was less than $20 and we took a thirdof it home with us to munch on later. And it was Super Cheesy! So cheesy that I dropped the first few pieces of the pizza in mylap when trying to Houdini the cheesy stringiness with my plate. I highly recommend The Lazy Ace Saloon if you are looking forgreat atmosphere, great hosts, great prices, and a great bite to eat. Read more
I have tried numerous chicken wing establishments and this one is the best. The mild smoke flavor is excellent. Can't wait to... try the pulled pork and pork ribs. This is a definite try for folks who enjoy great food that is reasonably priced. It's notyour typical "bar" food. Read more

Neat old tavern in Manitowish. Tastefully decorated and a lot of natural wood. They smoke their own meat. We stopped while on... the bike trail between Mercer and Manitowish Waters. Good sammies and friendly service. Read more
We were in the area for 4 days and stopped there every day. Jim the owner is a very friendly guy, greeted us and made us feel... like a regular. Very good food, he has a big smoker in the backyard. The ATV trail runs up to his property. Read more
