El Matador was sadly a disappointment for us! My husband and I visited on our anniversary. We enjoy good food and drink. The... margaritas were unfortunately just not great. My husband ordered the classic margarita, it tasted as if someone had dumped saltinto his glass before making the drink. I ordered the blackberry habanero margarita, it was decent, however, once my food came,I was unable to finish it. The food itself was unfortunately just not up to par for what we are used to. Perhaps just an offevening or a new chef, everyone has their bad days. I always try to give the benefit of the doubt, but it is safe to say, welikely won?t be visiting again. Not even done with my food, but had to write this! Great and friendly staff, salsa is pleasantly hearty and mild, but if you... haven't yet, try the Ribeye tacos!!! A very unique blend of flavor whole still tasting like a traditional taco. Oh and the wildmushroom skillet is fantastic too! Read more

Well. Started with a 44 minute wait! Hostess thought we had a 30 minute wait???..seated at 0809 Seated, dining area was a bit... cool (you could see your breath!!!) chips and salsa arrived after 5 minutes A bit hard to communicate due to musicblearing Ordered house margaritas - still waiting for the margaritas (11 minutes so far) Decor is a bit too much for mytaste. Nice place to take the family. I highly recommend the happy hour menu. The chicken and the steak nachos were huge. I was full... before I even started on my bowl of delicious Chicken Tortilla Soup. The best part is the huge nachos were only 5 or 6bucks. My daughter had the fish tacos off the happy hour (4 to 6pm) menu. She woofed them down like they were going out ofstyle.
