My boyfriend LOVES Pho. I on the other hand don’t necessarily care for it as I’m vegetarian and I don’t eat tofu. They... probably have some sort of vegetarian Pho, but I wanted something I felt would be more filling anyways. He didn’t think justthe Pho would fill him up, but we both stand corrected. The friendly male waiter explained it would be enough to fill him up andeven followed up with us after the meal to ask if he was correct, which he was. My boyfriend was stuffed (and he can eat morethen the average person)! I got the soft noodle chow mien and ask them to cook it without a fish sauce, which they were able todo upon request. They offer hot peppers & sauces that remain at the table and gave us a plate with jalapeños and sprouts forthe Pho. The prices were great for the amount of food you get. So far I've been here twice. I've had the Pho special and the flat rice noodles. Both meals have been fantastic. The staff has... taken great care of me and the food comes out quickly. I have had pho one time In Seattle WA I wasn't expecting Idaho to stand up to my standards but this does not even come close. I... added the red pepper flakes myself Even when I made it at home once I came closer with the tastes of cinnamon and blacklicorice coming to the forefront of the dish....I over added some dragon cayenne peppers so it was too spicy to eat lol Just asuggestion I was really looking forward to the Anise and cinnamon :(( I got none of it the leaves were a little licorice like Idon't know what pepper came with it I assumed it should be jalapeno it wasn't spicy at all....the ham was more like spam thenham hock? Another suggestion: Serve thin slices of raw steak they will cook as they are added to the soup by theconsumer. Please please make it spicy! There is no spice at all I am really bummed. I seriously underestimate how good this place would be. Everything I ordered was excellent. Pho portion sizes are HUGE! The... fried rice is incredibly flavorful and you cannot pass up on the black bean tofu. Service was so quick we got our food servedwhen our drinks came. Definitely going back to this spot again. This is very vummy place. I would say a hole in the wall. Had Mongolian beef chow mein. Meat was cooked nicely where it was very... tender. Wife had Pho soup which had a great taste. Little gem in Meridian, with excellent Vietnamese food and wonderful staff. We were served fast and the food was absolutely... wonderful. I've been to New York and San Francisco's Vietnamese food scene and this place compares. The interior is a bitspartan and there may not be many people dining in, but that's covid.
