First visit to Jean?s. Reminded me of my Nanny?s home cooking. On Friday, I had hamburger steak, mashed potatoes and gravy,... fried okra, and cream corn. For dessert I had pecan pie. Everything was delicious. My only complaint is that hamburger steak wasa little pink for my liking. Staff was polite and courteous. Overall, good experience. Read more

I was in Meridian for a couple days looking for a job. My Airbnb Host had suggested this restaurant. I was not disappointed!!... The food is old Southern comfort food and DeeLicious!!!! Incredible lunch spot recommended by tons of locals. Very historic, building since 1914. Catfish lunch special was delicious!
This was the best lunch spot. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was fantastic! I got the vegetable plate... and I can't pick a favorite, but I have to say that the fried green tomatoes were outstanding! We had a wonderful lunch at Jean's today! I have been wanting to eat here for awhile and am so glad we made a point to stop in... on our vacation. The fried pork chop was perfect, tasty greens, and very good fried green tomatoes. The chocolate pie was rightup there with my mamas. The restaurant is beautiful and our waitress was excellent.
