After several tries to get in, we finally got a reservation for Friday night and it was worth the wait. Small place, maybe 30... seats, but friendly service and great food. We drove from Dallas and it was worth the drive. German chef and authentic food. Read more

My wife lived in Switzerland for awhile and she and I have always wanted to eat here. It's not like anything you would expect. ... It's really great. Connie, the owner is waitress, hostess and cook and it's reservations only. But, what a great treat. Mywife said the food was really authentic. Nothing fancy. Just great hearty food and worth finding. Don't blink or you'll driveright by it. Can't wait to come back! Read more

Delicious and authentic German meal in the Texas hill country. Lovely place with lots of European touches down to the doors and... windows! Food was great and perfectly prepared. We had the Jaeger Schnitzel and Schnitzel/Bratwurst. A cozy place to get yourGerman fix. Read more

Super nice owner. Connie was super nice when I stopped by on my 130 mile gravel cycling ride. Place looks spotless and very... German in the middle Texas country side. I will make sure to get there for a meal one of those days. I know I did not eat - butI got the feeling right away that the pace is nice. Thank you Connie for letting me get some water. Read more

Great food and great service. Spent time in Germany and I can say that the food is both authentic and made from scratch. I am... not a desert person but the streusel was crazy good. Like most family restaurants in this area, it is best to check hours andmake a reservation. It is worth the drive! Read more

Such a cool restaurant! This is the type of place you dream of finding and telling your friends about! Practically in the... middle of nowhere, Zur Autobahn is a unique spot and a must-visit. The interior is decorated with automotive memorabilia and carshow awards (making this place extra cool for a gearhead like me) and family owned and operated. The first page of the menutells a great story about how the owners had an automotive company in Germany but Conny always dreamed of opening a restaurant. When they moved to Texas they made the dream a reality! Great homemade German food awaits you here and it's BYOB if you'd liketo bring something alcoholic. Stop in if you're in the area or make take a road trip out there (pretty country-side allaround). A great and unique experience awaits! Read more

A real mom and pop place, literally. Great food, all made from scratch. I recommend making a reservation, otherwise if you get... there right after someone you might wait a while to eat. Read more
