Ordered large Hunan chicken, large Orange chicken and large Mongolian beef. We were spitting this with 4 adults. We got a... large orange chicken, and small Hunan chicken and small Mongolian beef. My wife called up there to let them know we paid forlarge for all 3. The lady that answered the phone was rude and just wanted to argue. The last time we ordered they said 20mins. I waited 15 minutes and drive up there. Sat in that hot place for 30 additional minutes, 50 minutes. 2 strikes, I amdone with them. Read more
Kind of disappointed considering the reviews. Decided to try this place since it is so close to our house. Our sesame chicken... was SO over cooked that it was straight up crunchy like a pork rind. There was also not a lot of sauce which made it lack inflavor. The chicken on the stick was so bland as well and also slightly over cooked. We will definitely just overlook theinconvenience and continue to go to China Cafe in Hazel Green. Read more
We just moved to Meridianville and tried China One for the first time. All in all, we were very pleased. Service was excellent... and the staff were friendly. Ordered crab Rangoon, vegetable lo mein, shrimp with steamed veggies, and General Tso's chickenwith an egg roll. Everything was hot and tasted fresh. Hands down, the absolute best item we got was the lo mein. It was thebest I've had in a long time. The crab Rangoon and egg roll were also excellent. The shrimp was great, too, but we loved the lomein so much, we kind of forgot about the other dishes. The only thing that wasn't top notch was the Tso's chicken. The chickenwas still fresh, perfectly cooked, and not chewy at all, but the flavor of the chicken wasn't what we were used to for GeneralTso's -- we're used to a little more spice in the flavor. That's probably just matter of personal taste/preference rather thananything the restaurant did. I'm not sure we'd get the General Tso's again, but we'll definitely be back. Read more
So... I ordered a fairly big order of Pork Egg Foo Young w/extra gravy, Large Won Ton Soup, Xtra Crispy Noodles, Chicken Fried... Rice, Crab Rangoon and Vegetable Egg Rolls. Decent Egg Foo Young, in my opinion, has been difficult to find and lo and beholdhere it is in Meridianville (I also found it in Hazel Green but read on their reviews that I would be better off coming here toMeridianville and I'm glad I did). It was delicious! The gravy was perfect and exactly the way I like. The location I used toget it from changed their recipe (I actually think it was house made but didn't like the new gravy) an d I am just SO happy tofind it here. The Won Ton soup was plentiful and was loaded with won tons. Mom was really happy! The Crab Rangoon was lightand crispy. Dad was happy as a lark. Really yummy! Egg Rolls were also light and crispy and perfect. The best part was thatnothing tasted liked burnt oil as I have found with many other restaurants of late and I very much appreciate it! One lastthing I would like to mention is the speed in which my order arrived was pleasantly surprising. It took MAYBE 10 minutes (theywere actually pretty busy as well) and it was ready AND more importantly...correct! China One is hands down the best around. They have the most flavorful dishes, and their food is always so fresh and delicious. I... appreciate that with their chicken dishes they use bite sized pieces that are just right and have the perfect amount of sauce tomeat ratio, which is hard to find with other restaurants that like to use huge chunks with too much sauce which gets soggy. Theyeven throw in complimentary items with the order which is so kind. Never had a bad experience with them! Read more
OH MY GOODNESS. My family and I ordered a ton of food and ALL of it exceeded our expectations, everything tasted so fresh and... flavorful. The employees were SO kind and gave us a free box of donuts and Chinese wallscroll calendar. We will DEFINITELY beback, this is our new go to Chinese restaurant. Read more
