Hymie's is HANDS DOWN the best deli in Philly! I came across them on the delivery app Caviar. Today I decided to visit the store... after work. It was all I expected and more. Not only is the food delicious, the customer service is top notch! Read more

I always loved Hymie?s. Today at 11:30, I ordered a corn beef on seeded rye. After a good wait, the waitress brought me one on... non-seeded rye. She did bring me the corn beef on seeded rye, seemed upset and banged down my coffee and banged down a take homebox. The corn beef was initially delicious, but it became clear the sandwich had much less meat than previously generous levelsand a lot more fat. She couldn?t be found for coffee refill but another waitress stepped in and gave me a good refill and thebill as requested. Read more

First time customer of Hymie's. Been hearing good things for years. Today, I had a taste for a hot sandwich. I couldn't decide... between pastrami or corned beef. Based on the reviews I went with the pastrami. Big disappointment. The sandwich was not hot.The bread was barely toasted. The cheese was cold and stiff. Worst got pastrami sandwich I've ever had. I might consider goingback to try the corner beef. Maybe. At least they gave a lot of fries and ketchup. Read more

Gutted. Browsed Google Maps to find a nice diner outside downtown and this looked perfect for a Reubens. Spent 45 mins... travelling here on Sunday at 5pm to find out the table service ends at 3pm. Appreciate that's a Google issue for showing themopen till 7 but strange to have place that shuts half its venue. Even if we could order at the takeaway section and sit at atable then that would have worked. Read more

I?ve dined at Hymie?s in years prior and enjoyed the experience. However, this trip was unfortunately disappointing. I ordered... a Guacamole Veggie Burger with lettuce, onion and tomato. When I arrived home with my take out order, I saw that I had receivedonly a burger and a bun with no toppings or sauce. The side of sweet potato fries were also slightly burnt. The veggie burger onits own has an okay flavor. Additionally, the Google listing for the open hours is inaccurate, which was a bit confusing. Asrestaurants begin to reopen to regular service, it?s understandable that there may be some hiccups in the service. This wasstill quite disappointing. I hope my next visit will be better! Read more
