Quite possibly the best butter tarts and date squares I?ve ever had. Owner is a really nice guy too. Highly recommend!
We used to love coming to the previous incarnation of this little place when whenever we would visit Merrickville, as we were... crazy about their butter tarts. We were desperately hoping the new owners would make them exactly the same. I?m afraid the newowners are making them somewhat smaller, and the crust isn?t quite as flaky. To be fair, they?re still quite tasty, but we wereespecially disappointed to see how tiny they are now. We?d rather pay a bit more if costs have risen. Another example ofshrinking food that seems to be rampant everywhere these days! I?m afraid our drives to Merrickville just aren?t going to bethe same as they used to be! Read more
A *real* gem - bread, croissants, sausage rolls, brownies, butter tarts, cookies...the brownies are up there with the best i've... ever had including my own. The staff were very welcoming. Read more
Went in for a loaf of bread, just 1 loaf. Sounds simple right? Came out 5 minutes later with 2 loaves, cinnamon buns, cookies... and wanting more. Everything is or rather was delicious. Read more
