My wife and I along with my sister and sister in law decided to celebrate my sister in law?s birthday at Longhorn? We were... seated right away in a very pleasant warm setting not only temperature (for it was a brisk chilly day), but also attitude? Thewas as it time was well worth it for the good was ?OUTSTANDING?? Marisa the waitress went above and beyond serving us? We werevery impressed and will definitely return? Me and my husband went there on a date night tonight to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary it was only his second time eating... here and my first and I must say it was delicious he got the cowboy porkchops with a sweet potato and salad and the loadedpotato soup while I got the ribs and the French fries but same soup everything was wonderful. Sam the server was fantastic but... My wife's salad was gritty & a little past it's due date it was tough watching her pick out... the slimy parts. My ribs were good, potato was burnt on the bottom & underdone inside. It will be a long time before we go back.There are too many other restaurants to choose from We don't eat out much but when we do we expect professional prepared food. I?ve been coming to Merrillville longhorn over 5 years. I enjoy eating at this restaurant. I advise you not to go after 7... o?clock ! The service is extremely disappointing ,the meal I order yesterday wasn?t good at all the shrimp was burnt tasted likethe grill wasn?t clean the rice was dry possibly old I order asparagus very hard no seasoning .My whole meal was incorrect .Iwasted money and time.Called and spoke with the manager Matthew is very rude didn?t try to correct the mistake the restaurant made.unfortunately Matthew didn?t care he gave me an attitude and tried to tell me that the food looked good to him insulting myintelligence I had to get my food remade and pay again I will never go back to this location I enjoy long horn so portage itwill be from now on !!!! Staff/ facility: Friendly, welcoming & clean Nicole served us tonight. Her smile is beautiful & contagious. 10/10 Food:... initially we were served a cool loaf of bread. We asked for a warm loaf & recieved it shortly after. Chicken salad was ????Delicious and juicy! Ribeye steak (pictured below) was over cooked the first time around. We asked for medium well-done (just alittle pink). 2nd ribeye (pictured below) was PERFECT. 8/10 Service: 9/10 when we decided to send the steak back we flagged themanager (Kathryn) She understood our complaint handled it right away. Longhorn has always been one of my favorite go-to places. And today they did not disappoint. Even though we had a large crowd,... they were very accommodating. Service was good and fast. Food came fairly quick. And the food was good and hot. Read more
