A secret treasure. So charming and enchanting. Don't let the outside of this turn of century dwelling fool you. Go inside and be... surprised. Walk in to a store front that has homemade soaps, real honey,Bagged tea and trinkets. Refrigerated doors showcasesome of the beautiful floral arrangements this business provides. There are a variety of different truffles you can purchase.I'm not done. Let me continue. Walk out of the storefront area to left of the store is a hall that leads you to the differenttea rooms. Every room has a tree decorated seasonally. A piano. You can hire pianist for your events. Bathrooms are remodeledand beautiful. I was blown away at the rustic/romantic decor that makes me feel like I've gone back in time. I suddenly feelundressed. To the back of the house in one of the dining/tea room areas that you can rent. There is a door leading you outsideto a gazebo. Many weddings and all types of parties have been held here. I had my mother's memorial luncheon done here lastspring 2022. Cindy (owner) and staff did an excellent job accommodating my customized requests. Food is so decadent. Melts inyour mouth. Merrillville Florist and Tea Room hosts a princess party. Women actresses dress like Walt Disney princesses.Wouldn't that be a great party for your little girl? Don't delay give a call to Cindy (owner) today and begin the process tobook your special party. Even if you have no need to rent space for a party go anyway. You can book a reservation just foryourself or for you and a friend to enjoy a delicious meal and the comforts of a beautiful victorian experience. I called for a rush order bouquet. These lovely people were not only accommodating to my request, the arrangement was gorgeous... and perfectly suited for the occasion. The recipient absolutely adored her flowers. I can't believe I've driven by this placefor years and never stopped in. There's no time like the present to correct that mistake, I suppose! Read more
We went during the Christmas season and it was amazing. From the delicious food to the decorations throughout the entire... building. Although it was very crowded the wait staff was kind and patient with everyone. I plan on taking my sister there forher birthday. She's never been before but I know she'll love it. It's such a unique place to sit an enjoy a delicious lunch andwonderful conversation with a friend or loved one. I highly recommend this wonderful little escape. I hope to have or girlgroup and work group go too. I tried to order flowers once but it was on a Monday and they were closed. I'll try again as thearrangements I've seen are beautiful and unusual. This is a beautiful floral shop and tea room that is a unique treasure in the community! Not only did they help me host an... amazing bridal shower, they also supplied all of the flowers at my wedding and helped me put together a fake bouquet for a postwedding photo shoot. See attached pictures. Cindy did an amazing job guiding us throughout the entire process and has a greateye off details. I would highly recommend them for all of your bridal floral decor and events!
