The sweet corn bacon ravioli is one of the most unique and tastiest dishes I've ever had! So much variety on one plate but it... never felt like too much. The flavors are all complimentary to one another. The chicken was so flavorful and tender. I alsoordered the lobster chowder to try since I've never been a fan of clams. It's a great take on clam chowder and I was shocked tofind a whole lobster claw in the chowder! It's clear they use high quality ingredients here. This place was fabulous. I had the Nantucket Pie (shrimp, scallops, lobster, and cod in lobster sauce, sprinkled with ritz... crackers). It was sooo delicious. Then I had the mud pie for desert and it was fabulous too. We sat at the bar downstairs andDan was the bartender. He recommended both of these items. Great choices. I highly recommend this place. This restaurant came up recommended as one of the best group of restaurants in NH. So I was happy to see that there was one at... walkable distance from my B&B. I went in there on a Saturday evening. There is plenty seating capacity available, and I thinkthe range of seating options that one has here is a plus! I sat on one of the high tables on the bar floor; he lounge seatslooked very inviting too ????. The staff is pleasant, and the Manager stopped by one to say hello. Service was fast. All myfood was delicious, and flavouful - Cheese & Crackers, Almost Escargot, Tuna Poke Lettuce Wrap, and Ward Eight. Absolutely gorgeous building. Ambience and atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. I loved being able to sit on a couch and eat,... made me feel at home and welcomed. The complimentary cheese and crackers are really good. Staff is friendly and attentive. Thefood is FANTASTIC and reasonably priced. Great value for the quality of food and general overall experience. I just got home andhave already recommended this place to 2 people. Some of the best food I've had eating out in a while. My meatloaf and mashedpotatoes were amazing, the steamed green beans were exactly how I like them. My date's pot roast was also excellent. Iabsolutely plan on returning. Read more
If you read any of my posts you know I am gluten and dairy free. Common Man in Merrimack served up a delicious maple salmon. I... also had a Tuna Poke and avocado appetizer. The three of us managed to eat for under $100. I?m not sure how that happened. Myhusband had a Cobb salad with steak tips and bowl of chicken soup. My daughter had the chicken tacos and a side of fries. Ihad a French Martini and they had non-alcoholic beverages. There is free parking. However, it does get busy after 5pm and theparking lot gets full. We tend to get there early on Saturday because we go between lunch and dinner. It took a long timebetween each time we were asked a question and our server went off. Our drinks took a while. Our appetizers took even longer.But within just a few bites of our appetizers, they delivered our main course. When I said something, the response was, ?we arejust fast tonight.? WRONG response. I?m giving four stars because the food was cooked perfectly and I requested adjustments. The flavor was awesome. We all, including myself, need to realize these days sometimes things do take a little longer. Yes, Iwill go here again. Read more
