We are in town from another state visiting family from which this restaurant came highly recommended. This is one of the best... restaurants we?ve ever been to! The physical restaurant itself is not fancy (which we love), but the food is fancy!!! We got acrispy rice w/ spicy tuna appetizer, TR sushi roll, katsudon, and tonkatsu ramen. We all tried each others? dishes and we allagreed it is some of the best food we?ve ever had. My husband said verbatim, ?I just got the chills, that?s so good? about thekatsudon. The service is amazing and the people are SO nice (especially Gabby!!). We are major foodies and very much noticed andappreciated the love and flavor that goes into the food here!!! Read more

Very disappointed. Let me say why: (1) The salad was chopped by someone who either had no will to work today or broke his knife... during the process. (2) The beef curry was very "watered down". It was a large plate but simply quantity vs quality. It wasdisturbing to look at. (3) There was no flavor in the curry, obviously caused by the issue noted above. Usually, they ask thelevel of spiciness, there was NONE! (4) The bamboo shoots of which I really love the texture were simply flat, dry and semichewy. There was no liveliness... just sad... (5) No anbiance to the place. It's located in a strip mall and the parking lotfrom outside continues inside. Tables are cheap diner look from the 70s. I could go on, but i think I'll stop here... Anyonewho is satisfied eating here really does not love themselves... Read more

I have done takeout here a few times, and it was good each time. Their ramen, sushi and gyoza are great! I do think they could... benefit from offering more topping options for the ramen, though, as there are only a few provided with each and no extra onesoffered (like bok choy, ginger, shiitake, tofu would be great) My only complaint is the service is so slow. I have definitelylearned that if they say 25 minutes, you're better off coming in 45 minutes later to pick up an order. I have waited 15-30 moreminutes each time I picked up takeaway. Read more

This place serves some great food! The sushi pieces were very thick and tasty. Ginger dressing wasn't as sweet as other places... which I appreciated. The tempura could have been more crispy. This is a small restaurant with limited seating. Service wasgreat. Read more

Sushi was delicious! and the service was exceptional. deducted one star for cold centers on the shrimp shumai and for the price... of the sushi I would've thought the portions would be larger. With that said overall a great experience and I'll probably beback. The quality of the sushi and the service trumps. Read more

Food was sooooo good! Everyone was very friendly and nice. The fried ribs were seasoned and juicy! The ramen is the best ramen I... have ever had. The restaurant has a cozy and hip feel to it. Read more

Yaakuza Japanese Thai Fusion & Sake Bar Merritt Island, FL 1 Star ?A good rule to remember about life is that when it comes to... plastic surgery and sushi, never be attracted by a bargain.? ? G. Norton Relaxing on my favorite Empire Recamier in my livingroom, I realized that one can only digest so much pub food before one begins to crave a different diet. To that end, I grabbedthe car keys and headed up to Yaakuza Japanese Thai Fusion & Sake Bar for some good ole Far East grub and rice wine. As I pulledinto Emerald Plaza just to the west of Ulumay Wildlife Sanctuary, I became curious as to the spelling of the word Yakuza. Maybethey were trying to avoid a copyright infringement suit? Maybe they were just trying to be cute, either way, I found itamusing. As the very name of the place has the words ?Sake Bar? in it, imagine my surprise when I saw they had none to offer.Apparently, a beer and wine license does not cover rice wine, otherwise known as Sake. This did not bode well. However, I washere, I was hungry and I had a job to do, so I went ahead and asked for a table. It was at this point that I noticed three youngpatrons with green hair so as I was being led to a table I asked if it was Free Food with Green Hair Day. Sadly, it wasnot. After having been seated and handed a menu, as per my modus operandi, I took a quick gander about the environs. It wasgarbed with your traditional Thai decor and had some rather beautiful artwork on the walls. It wasn't too long before mywaitress, Gabby introduced herself and asked if I was ready to order. I found Gabby to be another peppy, happy person who atleast acted like she enjoyed her job and was glad to be there (unlike a few previous servers in recent reviews). I asked Gabbyfor one JB Cut Roll, my sushi barometer of a Spicy Tuna Handroll, an order of the Isaan Sausage and one Chicken Green Curry. Tobe frank, I was a bit scared of ordering any Nigiri Sushi as the case did not look all that fresh. The JB Cut Rol Read more

Great place. Food was delicious (I tried both the sushi and their Thai curry... both very flavorful). Service was consistent,... but it did take a long minute to get our food however they were busy. Both customers are service was pleasant. I'd highlyrecommend this establishment. Read more
