I got a LOCAL FLAVOR deal for this restaurant. We didn't have high expectations, but were pleasantly surprised. The food was... decent -- a solid 3.75 stars. I got the Tacos del Mar with white fish, and my hubby got the Mexican Flag plate. He thought thered sauce was really good. We both LOVED the fresh salsa -- it came out with warm chips, and we got a prompt refill by ourserver. We give the salsa and chips 4 stars. The service was great -- attentive and swift. The restaurant itself was exactly asI expected-- kind of old and tired, but it had a real authentic Mexican restaurant feel, so I didn't mind the old and tired,worn-out vibe -- after all, its apparently been around for decades. It had cool, nostalgic old photos all over the walls.Overall, we give it 4 stars. We came on a Saturday mid-afternoon. Glad we got the Local Flavor deal. Read more
I had the stacked shredded beef enchiladas, the hubby had the carne asada picada... we also had their red menudo. never knew it... came in white, always had red. Their fajitas are fantastic too. Service is always great. Read more
I give it a 3 because the shredded meat had a sweet taste, and the enchilada sauce tasted like plain tomato sauce. I expected... rice and beans to all their dishes. I guess not. Chips and salsa were great, but the price for drinks was outrageous. This ismy experience, so judge for yourselves. Read more
The food here was amazing, blew away my expectations. The service was just as incredible, really felt like part of the family.... Prices are just a little higher than normal but it is more than made up for in the portion sizes and the quality of ingredientsand love that goes into the food. Mexican flag plate was incredible. The carnitas street tacos were the biggest I've ever seen,and so delicious. Even the refried beans and salsa were some of the best I've had since moving to AZ. Would give 11/10 if Icould. Should have taken pictures before we dug in...but just couldn't wait! Read more
Currently sitting in the lobby. Ordered at 5:00pm for a 6:15pm pickup. Arrived at 6:16pm. It's currently 6:45pm, and food is... still not ready. All this while the dine-in is not even open tonight due to the bathrooms being inoperational. Have watched 8-10other to-go orders go out. No apologies. Gotta do better than this, Friends. Read more
